It’s not a bad idea even if I’d rather have a more united navigation (and no userpages with lots of options hidden there).

The things you’re talking about should be easily done with CSS. As long as you’ve got php-files that are specific for the places you intend the color change. You’ll have to put in some new “div id” to make it happen. That means modifying BP-default-files and using them in a child theme, as far as I understand (ie copying the files over to the child).

I did this with 1.0 but had lots of problems with compatibility problems with IE. I’m looking forward to rebuild 1.1 to a horizontal menu. If possible I’ll change it so that the userbar/optionsbar gets integrated in other parts of the page. I’ve got a website focused on forums and P2-twitter-esque functionality.

But I haven’t got that much time on my hands so perhaps I can find a developer for it.

I’m new to BP but I’ve learnt that some things in the code are contextually bound. Something higher up in the hierarchy may be missing.

I’ll want to do the same thing tho. Can you explain what code you took from where?

I’m not sure if an open source movement wants to add money into the mix. But I’d pay $100 for a working version of bb-attachments for 1.1. And it would of course be released to the public after that (as long as the one doing it accepts it)

I still don’t understand this.

I’ve placed /bp-default/ and /bp-sn-parent/ in root/wp-content/themes. Nothing happens. I’ve activated the themes in site admin. Still a red box telling me to put things in bp-themes instead. I’ve also done that but that doesn’t do any good.

Can anyone explain this to me?

The usage.txt says that the files should go into /wp-content/themes. I’m guessing they should go into wp-content/bp-themes?

About 1.1:

Will I be able to create forums in previously existing groups?

I’m slowly launching a website and it’s suddenly gotten wind. I’d like to let people create groups but fear not beeing able to put forums in them when I upgrade to 1.1.

I guess I could try this on my own but when I’ve installed 1.1 beta with forums they never get created. I’m waiting for non-beta.
