In reply to: Want to add new tab in buddypress profile page.
Buddyblog, by BuddyDev will do that for you
In reply to: Activity StreamOne suggestion is to set up a statis page that includes the Buddydev Activity shortcode, that way you can add other page content to the page that shows the activity stream. It has filter options so you can choose which activity is seen.
In reply to: Can I @everyone when I message?Cool, thanks
In reply to: Deafult Group pageI’m thinking that it should be possible to hack this code to get what you want.
In reply to: Deafult Group pageI found this tat might help:
In reply to: Deafult Group pageah ok
In reply to: Deafult Group pageYou might want to look at BuddyPress Group Extras. This allows you to create and extra page and set it as the landing page.
In reply to: Prohibit create groups with existing nameGreat thanks
In reply to: Prohibit create groups with existing nameI agree it should be core, with a tick box in settings to enable the feature or not.
+1 for the plugin option though.
I’d like some case testing as well to make sure “group1” can’t be created where “Group1” already exists.
In reply to: Non of the images on my Buddy Press works?Did you unload all of your other plugins to see if it worked then?
In reply to: [Resolved] Can we change group into a member group?Yes I think you will find it pretty straightforward, you need to install the BuddyPress Group Hierarchy plugin and from there you can go into the group settings and set a parent group for each group. You may also need the group Hierarchy Propagate plugin
In reply to: BuddyPress Site wide activityYes the drop down that includes -Everything-, my suggestion above would avoid having that as an option so that only friends activity could be viewed. Otherwise I’ll leave this to greater minds than me to answer.
In reply to: Combined profile info and activity pageI’ve working it out, I simply appended the contents of the activity page to the bottom of Prolife-loop. That seems to do what I want.
In reply to: BuddyPress Site wide activityI’m not sure how you would do that but one workaround I might suggest is that you replace the activity page with a page running BuddyDev’s Activity Shortcode and set that to friends, I don’t think it will display any options for getting alternative activities if I understand your requirements correctly.
In reply to: BuddyPress Site wide activityLooking at it, I think you could create a template overload if Activity-loop.php and change the scope of bp_has_activities () to friends.
See the activity loop page for more information:
I’m not an expert, I think this is correct.
In reply to: BuddyPress Site wide activityAh sorry, seems that plugin is no longer available
In reply to: BuddyPress Site wide activityMaybe this will do what you want?

In reply to: Hiding group description from the Group listFound it, thanks
In reply to: Error Logs with BuddyPressHave you tried raising this with your theme’s creators, this seems more like a theme problem than a BuddyPress issue.
In reply to: Login pageCould id be caused by a plugin incompatibility?
In reply to: 403 Forbidden on register page?First think I would try is to deactivate all of your other plugins and see if register works.
Another thing to try is to create a different page for register, point buddypress at that and see if that fixes it.
In reply to: Adding custom page in group section.Yes it no longer seems to be supported
In reply to: I can’t install group forums.Normally if you create a page called Forums then the forum list will appear on that page.
From that forum list you can see the link to any sitewide forums you have created and you can use this to create a custom link menu item that goes directly to that forum.
In reply to: Welcome e-mailNo I don’t think so.
The alternative is to change the text by way of creating your own translation of it using Poedit.
See the following:
The poedit program, used for editing and creating the translation files is available for free here:
In reply to: Welcome e-mailOne way of doing this is to load BP Registration Options. This plugin allows you to edit this email as well as allowing you to moderate all new registrations.
