In reply to: Registration page problemsHave you got a link?
In reply to: How to display Memebers List on WP home pageYes, I’ve been trying to work out how to display it in grid form but none of my css changes seem to be having an effect 🙁
In reply to: Hide profile menu options according to roleAh yes, you are right, sorry about that.
In reply to: Hide profile menu options according to roleThe pro version of WPFront User Role Editor allows you to do that
In reply to: Activity – Enabling commentsany advice for more reading would be appreciated
In reply to: Profile Page EmptyHave you tried it using the 2015 theme and disabling your other plugins? This page should display so something is interfering with it.
In reply to: How to display Memebers List on WP home pageI found this:
https://bp-tricks.com/featured/buddypress-shortcodes-plugin/
It is a bp shortcodes plugin that has a display members function.
In reply to: How to display Memebers List on WP home pageI don’t think there is a simple way to do this. I think you will need to write some code that creates a shortcode that you can use on the homepage to display the member list. I’ve not seen any plugins to do this.
In reply to: How Mediapress works: guide. No I think what you are trying to create is a one hop page to your gallery, and the shortcode is how to do that, if I understand you correctly.
In reply to: How Mediapress works: guide. That’s interesting, it should work, it does on my setup. I’m pretty sure you have it configured correctly now. I think you should raise this on the Bddydev forum.
In reply to: How Mediapress works: guide. You seem to have set that page up as the Buddypress Gallery page, and this will over-ride any shortcode you have set for it. Go to your Buddypress settings, to PAges and remove the Page Album from the gallery page, then let me know so I can look.
In reply to: How Mediapress works: guide. No you definitely need to put the shortcode in a page or post and it should work.
You did not include the url for your site.
In reply to: Open the link to New tabYou could use the agreeable plugin, this includes a link to your policy that opens in a new tab and a check box so people can confirm they agree with it.
In reply to: Making Myself An Admin On BuddypressHi Bahamamom66,
I’ve now worked out how to show who is admin and who are members on the members list, the individual profile and also within each group. If you would like guidance on how to set this up I’d be happy to help. It does involve inserting code into files but if you feel like doing it I’d be happy to give guidance.
In reply to: Displaying group members roles in member listYep that works! Thanks a lot!
In reply to: Can I @everyone when I message?Yes I get that, I guess we could think of an alternative, like @groupadmin?
In reply to: Displaying group members roles in member listAh ok, my bad.
I’ve moved it to functions but again it’s not doing anything
In reply to: Displaying group members roles in member listI added it to the Members.php file but it seems to have no effect.
In reply to: Can I @everyone when I message?@henrywright You said group admins were a special case and not covered in the @mods command, would it be possible to have a shout to both admins and mods?
In reply to: Show group admins in main members listI’d be checking the members file to see if it has that modification
In reply to: Show group admins in main members listI’ve just checked my own groups and the list does include admins
In reply to: Show group admins in main members listAccording to this, group member lists include Admins and Mods by default, and there is an optional setting to exclude them. Have you changed this behaviour?
In reply to: Uploaded translations not workingThat’s odd, it should work, it did for me. I’m on the same versions as you.
I can only imagine that you have missed something out.
Try:
Recheck your po file to make sure your changes were saved.
Recreate the mo file
Reload them into the wp-content/languages/plugins directory.
