Although, this thread seems a little redundant – isn’t this the purpose of the “compatible up to” field? Maybe what we really need is for the WP plugins search to have a version filter.

Just tried External Group Blogs on a localhost.localdomain XAMPP install (really need those RSS feeds before I make the jump to 1.2) and it failed when creating a group at the Add RSS feeds stage with the following errors

Just a little WARNING:

Do NOT use

“External Group Blogs” together with

“Group activity stream subscription”

They don’t like each other.

Your users will be spammed with dozens of Emails a couple times a day.

I think this is why the notifications plugin just picks up everything and the “external groups” fetches articles a couple times. Averytime stuff gets fetched, notifications for all the items (not just the new ones) gets sended out. So far my guess.

I wrote the plugin-creators about it. hopefully they find a solution.

BUT the plugins for themselves are GREAT!!! THX!

BP-TinyMCE wasn’t working on my install for posting updates directly from a user’s profile page. BP wasn’t finding any content in the textbox and giving a ‘please put some content in there, dummy’ message.

I seem to have fixed it by adding

j("input#aw-whats-new-submit").unbind( 'click' );

on line 5 of bp-tinymce-js.js packaged with the plugin.

Edit: Well, it appears in some places and not in others, but works where it appears, at least.
