Just testing this right now.
A couple of bugs:
-Right now, I have no links. I create a link, then head on over to the BP activity stream homepage and select “My Links”. Next, I decide I want to delete this one link, so I delete it and head back to the BP activity stream homepage. Because I deleted my only link, there is no active tab on the BP activity stream homepage and therefore, no activity is displayed. It should default back to the “All Members” tab.
-On the Links directory page, the time for my created link is off by 8 hours. It’s correct in the activity stream though.
-If you’re on the BP activity stream page, and you click on the “My Links” tab, if the filter isn’t set to “No Filter” or one of the other link filters, nothing will show up. This isn’t really a bug due to the way the dropdown filter is implemented in BP, but it’s not great usability-wise.
A couple of requests:
-On the Links directory page, is it possible to add a delete or admin button right next to the “comments” link for link owners or site admins?
great thx … but i still have this “Please fill in all of the required fields” -Error
@idotter
Did you select a category for the link?
thats not an error you have to fill in the title and description
@idotter
Your issue is related to javascript. I am not going to be able to help you debug that unless you have it installed somewhere public that I can test it. I would need an account on the site

Re: tabs issue – That is a theme thing. I don’t have any control over the nav functionality of the default theme which I am just hooking into by adding a tab.
Re: time issue – That one is really weird. I am not messing with the dates at all. The data is stored in mysql as NOW(), and when pulling it out I simply strtotime() it and later it is passed to bp_core_time_since(). It could be that strtotime() is not seeing your timezone setting. Can you do some debugging on your end?
Re: nothing showing up – That is how the default theme works. There is the same problem with all of the tabs unless I am missing something.
Re: buttons – I want to put some buttons in the list, it just keeps getting pushed back.
Hey MrMaz
Re: tabs issue and nothing showing up – understood.
Re: time issue – bp_get_link_last_active() displays the right time for me, bp_get_link_time_since_created() in bp_link_list_item_xtrabar_userlink_created() gives me the weird offset. Anything specifically you want me to do for debugging?
@r-a-y,
I think that gives me enough of a clue to track this down. I will try to have a patch for you to test out tomorrow.
Hi
Still loving this plugin ! I am not sure nor recall how it works but on rc3 and WP 2.9.2 Single install – when i vote a link up or down for that matter the icons disappear and i have to refresh the page to see the vote added to the total – this is when viewing the links actual page and not the link directory.
Anyways just a heads up. Otherwise it appears to be rolling well.
@jamesjones
I fixed this bug earlier this morning, and it will work in the final version. Thanks for the heads up.
Sweet – good to hear. Another terribly minor issue is when in wp-admin area under buddypress links the css isn’t pulling through on the links. But like i said minor look and feel issue.
Seriously awesome plugin
@jamesjones
I removed the font styling on the menu header to avoid any more confusion in the future.
@everyone
Not getting many bug reports. Do we have a pretty stable version here, or should I leave it out there a while longer before tagging it final?
MrMaz, could you remind us where to find the latest download link? Thank you.
@MrMaz
Installed in a snap and it works perfectly.. well, almost. I found only one, very minor bug.
After creating 6 links (5 from YouTube and 1 ppt file on my server), I created a link to an mp3 file on my server, opened the link in a new window using Quicktime, closed that window and went to view the links in my profile.
I could find only the mp3 regardless of the filter used. While the Links tab in my profile showed (7), the counter below the My Links title showed “Viewing 1 to 1 (of 1 link)”.
In order to see all links in my profile after linking the mp3, it was necessary to go back to the Links Directory and select one from there. Then all 7 were visible.
Like I say, it’s minor as I don’t think many people (if any!) are going to link to individual mp3s hosted on external sites. (But I wanted to test it anyway.)
Loving the new version, MrMaz, on my BP1.2 testbed. So slick. No bugs yet, but I’ll be sure to let you know as I mess around with 1.2 if any appear.
@stwc
Thanks for the love. You are one of my original supporters from back in the 0.1 days, and its much appreciated.
@Everyone
My post about final being released got buried, so here it is for those that missed it.

Please continue the conversation over there!
If you go the link page of a specific link and no one has added any comments yet, it shows that their is no activity found on the link. Even if you voted for the link and that activity is displayed on the main activity feed for the site.
I’m trying to set up a custom theme for links, but the links tab disappeared and I can’t access them any more. Here’s what I did:
1. added a “links-custom” directory: /wpmu/wp-content/themes/customtheme/links-custom/
2. Copied all the files from /bp-links-default/ into /links-custom/
3. edited wp-config.php to include the following: define( ‘BP_LINKS_CUSTOM_THEME’, ‘links-custom’ );
Can anyone tell me what I’m missing? This is really a question for @MrMaz but thought I would post it here for the group just in case.
Thanks!
Is it possible to add the links content to the activity stream instead of a text link back to the links page only, the thumbnail and all? This way when I post a new link it’s visible in both places. Just wondering.
