    Ok, I’ve installed it and the problem is:

    my Twitter post shows up 150x times!

    bp.1.1.2

    wpmu 2.5.8.2

    Huh, that’s interesting, it should detect if a tweet already exists and skip it. Let me check I didn’t break something last minute.

    Turns out I uploaded an older version without a bunch of final changes. I’m just adding 1.0.1 to the repo, should be available for update soon.

    Roger that!

    only took a couple minutes to figure it out but you might want to change the hint to:

    “Enter a comma separated list of Twitter usernames…”

    Oh and might as well throw a feature request in here too. How about returning the avatar of the twitter user?

    My Stream still is polluted with the first post that was detected by the plugin.. so it says 150 Post.. most are by me, and all of them are the initial post that was detected by the plugin..

    *strangely, the twitter icon that was there on the navigation (left side) was once there, and now its not

    @Porscheheritage: remove all the twitter accounts from the group, save, then re-add them, save. The icon missing is my fault, another update needed. :)

    Wow this is an amazing plugin, simple and so effective!

    Is this the power of group ext. from 1.1? I really hope such capability to come for profiles, too. Thanks for releasing this plugin Andy!

    Yes this was entirely built upon the group extension API. It’s quite powerful, I definitely urge plugin developers to take a good look at it. You can build some great new features for groups.

    I notice a bug when you click on the Twitter account link. The first letter of the Twitter account is removed.

    @andy

    I sent the files to you.

    And there have character set issues, I found the retrieved tweets isn’t i18n friendly, all chinese character cannot show properly.

    Looks good,but it would be great if one can reply to the tweets like wire/activity stream?

    @apeatling

    Keymaster

    You can do that in 1.2 with activity comments and permalinks. :)

    Can’t wait to start using this plugin! Thanks Andy!

    Anyone by chance find a fix for the first letter missing when you click on the Twitter account link in the activity stream?

    I love this plugin, and watching Andy build it on the fly at WordCamp NYC was nothing short of astounding.

    One problem I’m seeing: If you have a group that was previously created (before the plugin was activated), you can’t seem to add in Twitter ID’s using the Admin page. At least, I haven’t been able to get this to work.

    For new groups, it works like a charm.

    For whatever it’s worth, I’m on BP 1.1.3 and MU 2.8.6

    @tedmann

    Could this be an issue with Supercache?

    @xevo

    Almost everything on buddypress is an issue when using Supercache. Since almost everything updates itself. As far as I know supercache has a few tags that you can use to ignore a piece of code, but you’ll need to use that on almost every buddypress function.

    @tedmann

    Yup, that was it. Added /groups/ to the list of strings that forces a page not to be cached. BP Twitter plugin works now.

    I would use object cache instead of supercache.
