-
I created a plugin that syncs twitter with users activity feeds.
The plugin in ready to be released but i need some beta testers to see if the plugin works well.
Want to help test this plugin? PM me!
p.s. plugin is for buddypress 1.2

Thanks dre and apwinthrop ..its great someone is working on this )
Tweetstream is running REALLY slow on my site lately. I thought due to Twitter API issues. So I disabled the sync from Twitter > BP but it is still really laggy. When I disable TweetStream, the site goes back to normal. Any idea what function in the TweetStream plugin could cause the speed lag? I disabled the Cron function and still pretty slow. almost unbearable to keep TS activated.
I had the same issue with site performance. Once i deactivated tweetstream the site went back to normal
I, too, have been getting the error “wp-content/plugins/tweetstream/twitter/EpiCurl.php on line” with the line number changing at times, etc. Since I have not yet been able to figure out a solution, nor find one in my web searching, I have deactivated the plugin on my site at http://citizensofinfluence.com. I do have a few users who really liked it, but it’s started causing too many problems.
Anybody have any ideas, yet? I’m not a programmer, nor do I have any php experience, etc. I’m just a casual end-user who was really liking the way it was functioning initially.
what i’m on: bp 1.2.3, mu 2.9.2, and tweetstream 1.2.3
getting Call to undefined function bcpow()…tweetstream-functions.php on line 1097 after trying to post update
New version with lots of fixed comming up, please report bugs to my bug tracking software: http://faboo.nl/bugs
I’m not quite sure how the localization of this plugin works.. It doesn’t pick it up automatically .. any ideas set it to dutch?
Peter – Can you give us an estimate as to when you’ll be able to update the plugin? We’re all dying to see the improvements!
Would love some help with Tweetstream. This (plugin) is the reason we decided to go with BuddyPress. The streams pulled for one day, and now they are not. I’ve disabled, re-enabled the plugin. I’ve turned-off all other plugins. I even switched back to the regular theme from the BP Column theme. Nothing seems to make the updates come back. I get no errors and everything else with the plugin looks like it’s working. Is there anyway to force an update? Does it happen periodically… Is it a cron issue? Using 2.9.2 and the lates plugin. Thanks.
please upgrade to the latest version, if you still got problems please send me a message with some site info so i can see whats going wrong.
does it work with wordpress 3.0 network?
Peter,
I just updated and it doesn’t work. Updates from my site don’t post to twitter and twitter updates don’t post to my site.
http://housingstorm.com
I’m on MU 2.9.2 and BP 1.2.3same here BP 1.2.3 and WPMU 2.9.2
Just to note all, Peter fixed the import in his latest release 1.3.1 today…
Now, I’m having issues with the plugin not showing the name of the TWEET User after it batches a couple Tweets at the same time… Although, this Plugin is much more stable now with the 1.3.1 release.does it work with wordpress 3.0 network?
I don’t think anybody is supporting the 3.0 network… yet.. No guarantees from what I read since it’s not in produciton yet. Some of the stuff works though…
Peter,
It looks as though the “@” sign is being stripped out of the message when it’s being copied to Twitter (Checked Twitter Box). Any ideas?
Peter,
Almost forgot, in 1.3.2. The Tweet Limiting doesn’t appear to be working, I have it set for 5 per user, but it’s bringing in them all…
Peter, same configuration here as Greg Fielding from housingstream. Running MU 2.9.2 and BP 1.2.3. I upgraded this am, activated site-wide, to no avail. Thoughts?
Another issue – I replied to a group discussion, and enabled the send to Twitter and the posting failed. If I uncheck “To Twitter,” it works fine.
This is a major plugin, we need to support Peter -This plugin and FACESTREAM are critical to me using Buddypress as my Pre-Buddypress PLN consisted of Twitter and FB folks, if you can -think about donating to this plugin… I did.
Agreed – I have donated as well. Also, would encourage any developers to help him squash bugs. If I could, I certainly would.
