Hi Jake,
I’ve just spent a few frustrating hours searching for this exact thing, did you ever get any response/luck?
All I need is a small calendar for each member to input their own events/plans, maybe with a link to the event (so one or 2 editable fields), and allow other members to see their mini-calendar and click on these.
Haven’t found anything that suits this so far, you?
Cheers,
Mike
Hey Mike,
I never did find the perfect solution unfortunately. In the end BuddyPress Simple Events proved to be the best solution for me. It’s clean, simple and straight forward to use. I found the others were quite bloated in feature sets and weren’t the best from a user experience perspective.

Also, though not specificaly member orientated, this old WPMU -DEV plugin may still work or at least provide an idea as to how to go about it.
It was among a number of previously premium plugins (some BuddyPress) released ( as in use / fork at your pleasure) by WPMU-DEV a few years ago.
Hey Jake,
Thanks, I thought it might be a long shot as every chat/forum ended in a dead end. I reckon someone could make a tidy profit if they developed one, there’s definitely demand!
Thanks also for the Simple Events validation; it was on my shortlist so I’ll give it a whirl now and see how we get on.
Shot for the help, much appreciated!
Cheers,
Mike
Cool, no problem Mike! Just give us a shout if there’s anything else I can help with.
You can use Calendarize it or My Calendar by Joseph C Dolson.
Calendar for Current Logged in User ( calendarize it)
[calendarizeit author=”current_user” personal_calendar_message=”Sorry, but you need to login in order to view your personal calendar”]
In My Calendar you generate a shortcode like that too.
In my case neither of plugins worked because i need that works for the groups too..
Is this good idea to use the calendary plugin for any eCommerce website of WordPress?
