Achievements throwing error on BP 1.1

Hopefully it’s not just for me, but the excellent Achievements plugin is throwing this error

Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, '' was given in /home/.unger/wonderchicken/jobsee.kr/community/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 414

for me, but only when I hit the summary page, and it only seems to happen when getting there from the Notifications part of the admin bar. If I go there from the My Account—>Achievements–>Summary, no error is thrown.

    BP1.1, WPMU 2.8.4, Achievements 1.1, fresh install.

  • Works for me, andremartin. Please would you give me more details of what exactly you’re doing to cause that error?

    could you provide a language.pot file soon?… i’d like to translate to french… :)

I use latest WPMU and BP with Achievements 1.2.

Previous achievements worked fine except for the error (this thread is all about) and it didn’t catch (same as this version) accounts created by plugins instead of the default signup page.

I upgraded to the latest version and it stopped working. Then I removed it, installed again but it still failed. Problems:

    – no achievements collected

    – no retro-achievement when manually triggering the retro function as per your instruction of editing/saving an achievement.

When I click the save button on an achievement editor page, the following error occurs:

“There was an error updating the database; please try again.”

Do you get anything in your error log? Did you load/add/edit any of the default achievements in the previous version in your MySQL database?

The previous version worked as supposed to, for accounts created with the default signup page and all activities for those accounts. Also, for all other accounts (created via Gigya) each time I hit the retro button manually. No errors with that version.

    Hi DJ,

I just installed the latest version of achievements. The email notification for unlocked achievements are sending and are showing up in the activity stream, but the breakdown of achievements on the front-end of user profiles are blank (the pages that tell users what that have and haven’t unlocked). Any help would be greatly appreciated. 2.8.6+1.1.3

    Thanks

Here’s it running on one of my sites – http://dangerous-minds.org/members/DJPaul/achievements

When you say “blank” do you mean you get an entire white page or…? Any chance of a screenshot? Also, look in your web server’s error log for when you try to load the page, and let me know what it says. Thanks.

Paul, I have it on my site http://1stangel.co.uk/aaw and when I click on a members, oir my own achievements link it just takes me back to the front page again. Any ideas?

I haven’t even checked Achievements for compatibility with 1.2 yet – you’ve just told me there’s issues, as I sort of guessed would happen

Well apart from the fact we cant actually see the page, everything else seems to be working LOL They are getting their achievements.

I have a list of things to code and this is the rough order as it stands:

    1) Activity Streams widget plugin for BP 1.2.

    2) Client work! Money! Hurrah!

    3) Events plugin unless I discover a really good one in active development.

    4) Iterate on Achievements and compatibility with 1.2 — of course, as soon as 1.2 hits a beta release, I’ll ensure achievements is up as soon as possible.

Achievements 1.23 uploaded – this is a bug fix for an error in the installation routine I accidentally introduced in 1.22. If you tried Achievements in the last week and wondered why it didn’t work, try the new version; no need to remove the databas tables, it will fix those.
