In reply to: Are bp_get_optionsbar & bp_get_userbar swapped?
Yep – sorry these two were swapped when I introduced the new functions to load the templates. I’ve swapped them back again in r1283.
In reply to: Friends-Activity Caching?This has actually changed in the trunk, it should be instant.
In reply to: Vertical Members DirectoryFor anyone who has this problem —
1. Copy the /directories/ folder from the default BuddyPress member theme into your own BuddyPress member theme.
2. Copy the /css/directories.css and /css/loader.php from the default member theme to your own theme’s /css/ directory.
3. Reload the page, but make sure you have cleared your browser cache.
These changes will make it much much much easier to change the design of the directory pages.
In reply to: FaceBuddy free theme for BuddyPressSgrunt: not sure if you got my message mentioning the changes?
The directories have moved to the member theme instead. They have proper template files now that you can skin far easier. You should be able to copy your styles from the blog to member theme.
Be aware of constant name changes in the functions.php too.
MEMBERS_SLUG is now BP_MEMBERS_SLUG.
There should be no more changes like this – it was a necessary change to help theme designers ready for 1.0.
In reply to: How do you delete user profile textIf you\’re using SVN then update it with that, if not, then download from this zip and overwrite your files:
https://trac.buddypress.org/changeset/1280/trunk?old_path=%2F&format=zip
In reply to: How do you delete user profile textI’ve added filters on these values now. Since only the site administrator has access to this, I can’t qualify this as a major security risk.
Any data entered or created by any other user is filtered.
In reply to: Unsanitised fields in profile editorAll the fields are sanitized as long as you are using the correct template tags and functions.
In reply to: How do you delete user profile textUser fields are sanitized if you are using the standard BuddyPress template tags or function calls.
In reply to: [Bug report] groups notificationThanks, this is now fixed in the trunk.
You should be able to log into trac with the same details you use on this site.
In reply to: I want to speak SpotlishYou can also try adding a file called ‘bp-custom.php’ into /mu-plugins/ and add those two lines there.
In reply to: I want to speak SpotlishBuddyPress trunk, make sure you update again.
Put them anywhere in wp-config.php above the “stop editing” part.
No, just the template files in the /themes/ or /bp-themes/ directories.
It should take no time at all to edit the template files and add those two lines. It’s only a suggestion though, if you want to translate that is fine too.
In reply to: I want to speak SpotlishGet the latest trunk and add this to your wp-config.php:
define( \'BP_GROUPS_SLUG\', \'spots\' );
define( \'BP_MEMBERS_SLUG\', \'spotters\' );Then just edit the other names in the actual template files, there is nothing wrong with that. The template is meant to be edited.
In reply to: Recentally ActiveIf you’re using the trunk it’s much easier – take a look at the member theme and the file:
/directories/members/members-loop.php
That has the template loop you need to render recently active members.
In reply to: Recentally ActivePut that in /mu-plugins/bp-custom.php and you can make use of it.
In reply to: Recentally Activefunction get_recently_active_users( $limit = null, $page = 1 ) {
global $wpdb;
if ( $limit && $page )
$pag_sql = $wpdb->prepare( \" LIMIT %d, %d\", intval( ( $page - 1 ) * $limit), intval( $limit ) );
$paged_users = $wpdb->get_results( $wpdb->prepare(
\"SELECT DISTINCT um.user_id FROM \" . $wpdb->base_prefix . \"usermeta um
LEFT JOIN \" . $wpdb->base_prefix . \"users u
ON u.ID = um.user_id
WHERE um.meta_key = \'last_activity\'
AND u.spam = 0 AND u.deleted = 0 AND u.user_status = 0
AND DATE_ADD( FROM_UNIXTIME(um.meta_value), INTERVAL 10 HOUR ) >= NOW()
ORDER BY FROM_UNIXTIME(um.meta_value) DESC{$pag_sql}\" ) );
return $paged_users;
}In reply to: trouble with rev 1268Make sure you have done the following:
Changed your member theme folder to /bp-themes/ from /member-themes/
Copied the /directories/ directory from the default member theme to your currently active member theme.
They are out of date and need to be updated, so they won’t really help. The skeleton component is by far your best bet to learn what’s going on. The comments in there should be helpful.
In reply to: Language problem,in RC1Use the trunk, this is fixed.
There was a problem with this and it was fixed in one of the more recent revisions.
In reply to: sort_by_name() functionYou’d have to make your own widget and use the template tags. That’s your best bet.
In reply to: sort_by_name() functionYou’re better off using the new users template tags. Check out the members directory template loop in the member theme in the latest trunk.
bp-themes/buddypress-member/directories/members/members-loop.php
You can set specific ways to order members:
bp_has_site_members( 'type=alphabetical&per_page=10' ) )type can be: active ( default ) | random | newest | popular | online | alphabetical
This is only in the latest trunk, not RC1.
In reply to: BuddyPress Blog – Call for Posts!You can all now post via the write-post menu under /blog
Please feel free to start adding your posts!
In reply to: Avatars / profile-picturesThis is only the case on BuddyPress.org.
In reply to: Navigation problems 🙁The latest trunk will stop the home page from highlighting, it’s actually a BP bug.
Also – I missed a ) off my example which was causing the error.
It needs a stripslashes call, which I will add.
