In reply to: bpgroups!?!?!
Have you followed every step of the readme and are using bbPress 1.0a ?
Make sure you have not missed the part about editing your bb-config.php file with the “user-switching” line.
In reply to: Navigation problems 🙁Try this:
<li<?php if ( is_page( \'about\' ) ) : ?> class=\"selected\"<?php endif; ?>><a href=\"<?php echo $bp->root_domain; ?>/about/\" title=\"<?php _e( \'About\', \'buddypress\' );?>\"><?php _e( \'About\', \'buddypress\' );?></a></li>In reply to: Global Variable – Username not ID$bp->loggedin_user->fullname
$bp->loggedin_user->username
$bp->loggedin_user->id
$bp->displayed_user->fullname
$bp->displayed_user->username
$bp->displayed_user->id
In reply to: Topic escape charactersThe filters on this install are a little quirky right now, so there will be some slashes here and there. I will fix it up soon. It’s nothing to do with group forums in BuddyPress.
In reply to: new message notifications?You should get a notification in the menu bar when you are logged in. If you clicked and viewed the message it will clear. Seems to be working great for me, anyone else seen this issue?
In reply to: [Resolved] Xprofile question….that function will work, you need to just work out how to get the user_id – maybe the $current_user global will work.
In reply to: Activation Not Working!This is a fatal error, there will definitely be something in your php error logs. Or turn on screen error reporting on.
In reply to: [Resolved] Xprofile question….Use the name of the field:
echo 'Welcome' .xprofile_get_field_data( 'Full Name', bp_loggedin_user_id() ) .', access your account below.' ;In reply to: Anything for SEOI am aware of it. It’ll get fixed soon. SEO is not my primary concern right now, but that will also improve too.
In reply to: [Resolved] Xprofile question….Possibly. You could try adding this to bp-xprofile.php:
function xprofile_get_field_data( $field_name, $user_id = null ) {
global $bp;
if ( !$user_id )
$user_id = $bp->displayed_user->id;
return apply_filters( 'xprofile_get_field_data', BP_XProfile_ProfileData::get_value_byfieldname( $field_name, $user_id ) );
}In reply to: If your account does not work with the ForumsI’ve applied a fix that should help a lot of people post properly in the forums, so if you have had problems before, log back in and it should work for you.
In reply to: [Resolved] Xprofile question….Sorry yes, you’ll need to be running the trunk version, I don’t think that function was in RC-1.
In reply to: [Resolved] Xprofile question….xprofile_get_field_data( $field_name, $user_id )In reply to: Is Bbpress Live Cache on Blog > Edit Page Normal??This is the built in caching functionality in bbPress live which is used for bp-forums. You can delete these and turn off caching if you don’t want them.
In reply to: Latest Members pages getting 404Need an example page. You’ve done a good job considering BP is still pre 1.0 and there’s been a lot of changes since you started.
In reply to: The most stupid question…:-)$bp->root_domainIn reply to: Buddypress new themeI’ll post them in good time, they’re a bit down on the list right now.
In reply to: The Wire and Groups IssueJosswin: looks like your bp_styles() call is not adding any of the structure.css files. They are not appearing at all in your header.
In reply to: How to remove the search/login barYou can just remove the search login bar from the template – Just remove:
<div id="search-login-bar">
<?php bp_search_form() ?>
<?php bp_login_bar() ?>
<div class="clear"></div>
</div>From header.php of the home and member themes if you are using both.
In reply to: new buddypress site looks greatMake sure you hit shift+refresh to clear out the old CSS otherwise you will get design weirdness.
In reply to: Can I use Page Templates? for groups, members, etcYes, this is possible right now, but it is about to change this week. The directories are moving to proper template files that you will be able to easily modify. Right now they are very difficult to override without recreating them completely.
In reply to: The old buddypress siteI’ll fix this page up so the design looks nice. For now that page will show you, but it looks a little messy.
In reply to: Buddypress new themeI won’t be releasing the theme at the moment, but what I will be doing is sharing how I built some of the extra features.
In reply to: Only wire posting in site activity, is possible?Site activity is just in a widget, so you could possibly make a new widget, or create a new page that uses the widget code. I’ll introduce some nice template functions for site wide activity in a future version.
In reply to: How To Remove P and /P In Group ForumMake sure you have activated the buddypress-enable.php bbpress plugin that comes with the bp-forums component.
