update bp-core/bp-core-templatetags.php
In reply to: Removing Forums Option from Groupsdelete bp-forums.php
In reply to: Wrong linking in non-root-BP-install?Post a bug in trac for this and explain your steps and setup.
In reply to: Responding to WiresThanks for the request: a wire-to-wire option will be coming post Wire 1.0.
This is fixed in the trunk and will be available in beta 2.
In reply to: Groups IssueLooks like someone has admin privs that you don’t know about. Check that out.
Also – group admins can kick and ban people. Kicking and banning a user from a group means they no longer have any access to that group, and cannot rejoin.
Group admins cannot add a user to a new group without the user first opting in. They can of course send group invites.
In reply to: fatal error: members and groups.If you are seeing “Call to undefined function bp_search_form_action()” then you are mixing trunk files up with beta 1 files.
You cannot use the beta 1 themes with the trunk plugins. If you’re going to update your BuddyPress installation with the trunk, you need to make sure the themes are the trunk versions too.
There are still last minute changes going into the themes until 1.0 final.
In reply to: BuddyPress and Site wide tags pluginCoincidentally, I just submitted a possible fix. Worth a shot. The sitewide tags plugin is working on my local install.
In reply to: Differences between BP & MU 2.6.5 & MU 2.7The options show fine on the latest 2.7 trunk. Are you sure you have all the themes plugins installed correctly?
In reply to: What are these tables?All good points.
Remember, WordPress.com runs WordPress MU and has over 5 million blogs.
In reply to: wp-super-cache strategyMember pages are not caches with super cache right now. It is detecting them as 404 errors, even though a 200 OK is being passed. if someone wants to debug the 404 cause please do. Once this is fixed it should work just fine. I keep the cache expiry time low. No hacks needed, works for home page and all blog screens.
In reply to: Bug in groups modulePlease add this to: https://trac.buddypress.org/newticket log in with your forum credentials.
In reply to: bp_is_page() and $bp[‘currrent_userid’] purposecurrent_userid is set when you are viewing a users profile – so it is the user id of the member currently being viewed. If you are not viewing a user profile, it is 0.
loggedin_userid is the user id of the user logged in.
bp_is_home() does a if ( current_userid == loggedin_userid ) return true; else return false;
So bp_is_home() will return true if you are viewing your own profile.
In reply to: Featured Groups ideaI’d make a widget, an provide some settings to either enter the slug of each group to feature, or the group ID.
In reply to: Hey AndyIgnore it, it was intended to stop problems with missing submenus in the admin bar when not viewing your profile. It will probably be removed before 1.0 final.
In reply to: Beta Software Dates – Production SiteMost likely by the end of Jan.
In reply to: fatal error: members and groups.Update your home and member themes.
If you’re using a custom theme – take the search form out of the header and replace it with <?php bp_search_form() ?>
In reply to: Duplicate activity: “now friends”Make sure you report this in trac.
I’ll look into this, I’ve actually not tried it. Having a widget sidebar for all member themes would be very handy though.
In reply to: tweak the “ME” vertical menuThere should be a bp_remove_sub_nav_item() and bp_remove_nav_item() which I will write ASAP and put into the trunk.
In reply to: Purely Genius Way to Add Custom Profile FieldsFilters are very useful, I’ve tried to include filters on every template tag, so you can modify template tag output as you see fit.
In reply to: Error when trying to create a groupAre you logging into the admin area as a site admin? The tables will only be created if you are a site admin and logged into the admin area.
In reply to: avatars upload but cannot be cropped etcAre the permissions correct on the upload folders? Likely the new images are returning a 404 because the permissions are incorrect. This would allow the cropper to display but the image would break.
In reply to: “BuddyPress” logo on the top left hand side<?php
function my_admin_bar_logo() {
return URL_OF_MY_LOGO_IMAGE;
}
add_filter( 'bp_admin_bar_logo_src', 'my_admin_bar_logo' );
?>Place that in a php file and include it in mu-plugins. You won’t have to hack any of the core using this method.
In reply to: Rationale for multiple activity tables?Multiple tables allows you to split the DB into lots of smaller ones and across servers.
