The emails will now say [user set] next to the password, unless you change the welcome email.
In reply to: Group Invites not sent/notifiedThis sounds like it might be a bug, can you put this in trac please so we can investigate further?
In reply to: Upgrade from BP 1.1.3 to BP 1.2.1You should just follow the 1.1 to 1.2 upgrade instructions on the codex. If you use the new default theme then you won’t need the backwards compatibility plugin unless you are using plugins that have not been updated for 1.2.
In reply to: Plugin Devs Please Read@Boone Gorges if you want to be backwards compatible then you could also check for if ( is_defined( ‘BP_VERSION’ ) )
The bp_init action is new in 1.2 and will fire once all of BuddyPress is loaded. It’s called in bp-loader.php if you want to check it out.
In reply to: Plugin Devs Please ReadThe nice thing is by including a separate file you don’t have to do if ( function_exists() / class_exists() / method_exists() ) checks.
Also – if you just register a user then no blog will be attached to them, you have to register them then actually add them to the blog. They must also have higher than subscriber access.
Deactivate BuddyPress and perhaps try manually clearing your user blogs table. Then reactivate.
In reply to: User Blogs gone! What do I do nowSounds like something is wrong with your theme. It’s not related to this bug so I’m closing this thread. Please start a new one.
When you change your permalinks it shows you what you need to add to your .htaccess file at the bottom of the page.
This was fixed in 1.2.1, they should register fine, but it was broken in 1.2.
In reply to: Plugin Devs Please ReadThanks, I’ve now added a codex page for this and linked it in various places:
https://codex.buddypress.org/how-to-guides/checking-buddypress-is-active/
In reply to: BuddyPress LikeThis doesn’t work for me. It’s because you are using AJAX to post to / which does not work for installations that are not in the root.
You need to make it post to the variable ajaxurl which will post to the correct location regardless of where WP is installed.
Also – please read this:
In reply to: forum errorYou have an old version of bp-default, please get the latest version of BuddyPress and delete the bp-default folder from your themes directory. You should not move the theme file.
In reply to: After update private & hidden Groups emptyI can’t seem to reproduce this, maybe try disabling all the plugins except the essential ones to see if there is a conflict?
Fixed in SVN, so it will be fixed in 1.2.1.
In reply to: Creating NAV BarThe above code is out of date, you can find the latest in /wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/header.php
In reply to: BuddyPress LikeMake sure you upload this to the plugin repository!
In reply to: Only admin avatar in blog #1@mmeida Please post a bug ticket for this explaining the issue and how to recreate it.
In reply to: Active but not…Running WordPress MU 2.9.1?
Did you update your .htaccess file when you updated the permalinks?
In reply to: Extended Profile fields vulnerability? Not a security vulnerability, but looks like a value check is missing somewhere, I’ll fix this.
Fixed in 1.2.1 out tomorrow.
Relax people, please. Let’s get a little perspective here.
Where is the ticket for this issue in trac? Can someone please link it on this thread. I need a ticket to reference.
In reply to: enable theme 1.2 sitewideThis is a WPMU issue, not BuddyPress, you need to get WPMU to force the BuddyPress theme as the default.
In reply to: User Blogs gone! What do I do nowOk, these issues should now be fixed in the 1.2 branch. Going to release 1.2.1 tomorrow.
