In reply to: Which template file produces the settings page?
I’m sure it’s on his todo list.
In reply to: WordPress MU 2.8.1 BlogsThe reason you have not found much on this on these forums, is because this questions are in WPMU’s domain. Have a search on their forums as these components aren’t provided or controlled by BuddyPress.
In reply to: Can find a specific colour code. Need a little help.I think it’s just inheriting the colour from the body tag. So just add your own style in.
In reply to: Login BarYour first post was just over 5 hours ago. Please do not repost or bump your thread for 24-48 hours; we all have jobs and real lives
In reply to: P and BR tags not working in text/welcome widgetI was referring to the Welcome widget which I thought comes with BuddyPress.
In reply to: Users not receiving Email – AOLEither client side spam filters, or one of the mail servers between the hosts refusing to deliver it.
WPMU deals with all the email sending, so I suggest you do a search on their forums to see if anyone has came across this specific issue before.
In reply to: P and BR tags not working in text/welcome widgetIIRC, this widget only supports plaintext.
I’m sure you’ve posted this or a very similar post before. Why the second post?
If your question was specifically how to get the blogs on the root domain, I think you can do this – check out the variables in wp-config.php.
This is a feature built into WPMU (Site Admin > Options). This is also not a question about BuddyPress, so the WPMU forum would have been a more appropiate place.
In reply to: creating component pagesShow us your code, and also let us know if you’re building this on BP 1.0.3 or BP 1.1/trunk. Because the way to do this has changed in 1.1/trunk.
In reply to: A little help with colours on my themeWoah, woah. First of all, get Firebug for Firefox. It lets you inspect and amend CSS on the fly which would help you with this sort of thing.
Secondly, I just got crit by a wall of text for 10,000 damage. Please use a ‘pastebin’ service, such as http://buddypress.pastebin.com/, in future.
Thirdly, I’m also going to mark this thread as complete for your as your above post seems to suggest you have resolved your problem.
No way of subscribing to topics on these
boards. There was a way to mark it as favoriite but I don’t think that sent any emails on new posts.
You can add custom achievement plugins with the current release. You have to know how to code, though. In the Achievements release that comes out once BP 1.1 is out, site admins will be able to add simple achievements via the admin interface.
In reply to: Links in membership confirmation email do not workI’m not Andy, but he told me it was the other day.
In reply to: Can’t access my member profileOh, there’s a variable which sets what root blog Buddypress runs on. I’m not sure if it works bugfree in the BP 1.0.3 release.
I’m not at my computer so you’ll have to wait for someone else to post the solution.
In reply to: Gravatar / normal picture-upload instead ?Yes, this is a standard feature of BP.
In reply to: Can’t access my member profileDoes the above work when using the standard, unedited BP themes?
In reply to: Setting Up On One Site/Blog Only?It can’t do what I think you want it to do. I think you have to try to run two installs of WPMU and configure one of the installs to use the other’s DB user tables.
In reply to: BP 1.0.4Correct
In reply to: New Page SelectedThis is not a BP question, but a WP theme question! A quick Google of that function took me to https://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/wp_list_pages.
Five minutes reading revealed:
All list items (li) generated by wp_list_pages() are marked with the class page_item. When wp_list_pages() is called while displaying a Page, the list item for that Page is given the additional class current_page_item.
So, apply a style to .current_page_item.
In reply to: White Screen of DeathIn reply to: White Screen of DeathHi
Thanks for making a new post for this. Using some sort of WP redirect plugin almost certainly relies on htaccess or something similar, so this sounds like a not particulary useful kludge.
Maybe it’s just me but I’m not sure what you are saying your problem is. So to start, are your redirects working? How are you testing it? Is your htaccess file present and is your web server set to load it?
In reply to: User called zhanglingjuan114 possible spambot?Yes.
In reply to: page not loading: https://buddypress.org/forums/I’ve seen this sort of issue with sites using wp-supercache with certain plugins before.
Thanks for using Achevements!
