in the next version of BP – 1.1 – themes work much more like WordPress. If you have your own local development install of BuddyPress, upgrade to the ‘trunk’ version.

It is possible, yes. Has anyone written or released such a thing yet? No. Is anything planned for this for BP? Not until version 1.3 aka not anytime soon.

Yes. Changing that bit in kses.php will let anyone use those tags almost everywhere on the site, so you’ve been warned.

A lot of this sort of problem is WPMU or server misconfiguration. I’m not sure we ought to be providing any more help for that sort of problem other than we already are.

Relative RSS feed URLs – I don’t know and you will almost certainly have to edit/create a custom theme.

I think your best bet is to redirect non-admin users away from /wp-admin/ URLs.

Bp 1.0.3 needs wpmu 2.8 onwards. I have no issues with 2.8.4a on my site.
