Bump anybody please?

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years ago]

This works I guess…

a href=”http://mysite.com/author/%?php the_author(); ?%”>Sea all Videos

Any better way to do it?

@mercime Im using a small variation of the default theme. I’m referring to the members/single/home.php. It’s my understanding that the different member loops run through. It has the sidebar calls on it.
But what Im trying to do is have the normal 2 column for profile and a few others but I want a 3 column setup for the personal/friends activity pages.

@modemlooper @InterMike Thats what I’m looking for. I use that plugin and it’s compatible with 1.5 and would just be amazing to show a trending hastags list with that.

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years ago]

BUMP Where is the genius on here that knows how to do this?

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years ago]

Ok I see what you mean. Is there a way I can set the loop to certain members in the query string or something?

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years ago]

Alls Im saying is I’ve only had one of the last 12 forum topics I started actually answered and that sucks.

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years ago]

@modemlooper

I’m dont get what I did wrong. I took the Jquery code from pastebin…put it between script tags…placed it in the header.php…and nothing happened. I can still post over 100 characters. What did I do wrong?

1.51 seems to have fixed most of the erros with plugins that werent working.

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years ago]

So did 1.5 solve any of these across the board issues with plugin compatibility or are we still waiting for all of them to be fixed? Also does anyone know how I could personally fix the Facebook login plguin for buddypress so it works with 1.5?

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years ago]

Solved. No thanks to this forum.

Now for anyone with same question. Use a plugin called “Category Templates”. Open the php and add this to the beginning.

// Set constant for current theme directory
$dirname = get_stylesheet_directory();
define(‘STYLESHEETPATH’, $dirname . ‘/’);

Then edit lines 134 and 135 by changing to ‘TEMPLATEPATH’ to ‘STYLESHEETPATH’ on both lines.

That worked for me.

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years ago]

Ive tried 3 different tutorials and nothing seems to help. I know someone probably knows how to do this and I would really like this to be the one out of 10 topics I actually get a response to.

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years ago]

Also let me add that I need the templates automatically assigned because my users post from the front end and dont have the option to choose a template like a few other plugins offer.

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years ago]

I was just trying to find a solution for this. Has anyone figured anything out?

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years ago]

Have you tried using the features that google chrome has. You can right click any item and it will show you everything that makes a particular item. You can then copy those css rules and then paste them into your child theme stylesheet and adjust them.

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years ago]

Thanks for these links! I was actually want to keep the notices though. I just want to get rid of the action buttons for them. Like when two people become friends. Nobody ever really replies/ favorites/ or likes that. I still want the notice just minus the action buttons. I hope I didnt miss that in the links you provided. i looked through them.

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years ago]

I can’t figure this out for anything. Can someone save the day please.

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years ago]

Oh and they are showing this only in the activity stream. Everywhere else the date is correct.

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years, 1 month ago]

Grrrr this is driving me crazy. I can get one but it only works for the top user and repeats it for everyone.

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years, 1 month ago]

One thing I think might help is using the plugin “menubar”. It has a feature where you can add php code to make a menu item. So you add this to add a login for example.

if (is_user_logged_in ())
return array (‘Log out’, wp_logout_url ());
else
return array (‘Log in’, wp_login_url ());

Now it would be really useful if someone could give some examples on what to enter to make it go to a users activities, profile, etc.

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years, 1 month ago]

It worked perfectly until I realized it was blocking replies. If I can figure that out it’s still the best solution by far so suck it lol.

[@enderpal444 Participant 15 years, 1 month ago]

Well now that same plugin is making my replies to activity streams now work lol so fml. Really wish someone would make a plugin to do this right.

kkradel…I dont know what you didnt like about my idea but they idea I suggested is working perfectly for me. The menu came with icons that I swapped with my own for profile,settings,messages…and two drop down menus for “friends online” and “notifications. Ive since added two drop down menus and a login to it. Looks better than I expected and works perfectly. You should try it.
