As i said before the plugin intergration seems to be ok. You can see it in the groups but when you click “Post Topic” you get an error

“There was an error posting that topic” happens on all groups.

Well i was using 1and1 and wanted to see what i could find that was best for BP. So what i did was sign up for a (mt) GS account and a TMD basic reseller account. After about 2 weeks of playing with them both i closed the (mt) account. TMD really offers more for the price and they will install buddypress for you just by requesting it. Usually withen 15 min.

Dont get me wrong they do have a few problems. Thats to be expected with a fairly new hosting company. For $29 a month i get a reseller account with great options. They use cPanel which i prefer Plesk but cPanel is ok.

(mt) is a great company with a great name. However i got the feeling the time i was with them they are more of a hype company has you seem to pay for the name and no the options. Their admin panel is a work of art though.

Yea i played around with it and got my users from my regular wordpress install into mu/bp and although it showed the users in admin the buddypress never showed them.

Changed permission to 777 and uploaded a php.ini file has was suggested. I didnt do one at a time so sorry i dont know if it was one or both that did the fix.

Group forums dont work at all.. keep getting an error when trying to post. The email notification have html tags in them, and i got to figure out how the heck to import my users from a regular wordpress install.

When trying to upload whe creating a new account no errors appear. When uploading creating a group error 500 shows

My problem was some of the fetures. like when you click on a letter to do a search… say we click the “v” to search with users that start with a v it would just sit there with the loading image and never load. it does with with all the ajax fetures it seems.

Hmm i couldnt get buddypress to work at all on 1and1. Im not saying it dont, just wondering how you got it to work.

well 1and1 is deff out, which is sad because ive used them for about 3 years for my 12 other sites and they all work perfect and even like 1and1 myself…well…its not worth me changing host though for BP so i guess its no go for now

Ok here is something i have got.

If i active , activity, blogs, core, messages, and xprofile then forums, friends, groups, and the wire will not work and the site crashes. If i activate forums, friends, groups, core, wire, everythign once again works fine unless i active the others which is vis-versa the other way. what would be in the packages thats conflicting?

WPMU was working fine until i installed buddypress though. I first installed WPMU and made sure everything was working, then i installed Buddypress, uploaded the files and when i went back to the site all i get is 500.

Well its not that hard, just go to the site and search for anything or whatever and youll see what i mean, no matter if it sees a match or not it should let you know, instead it just sites there and shows the loading image and never moves.

Me or no other user can access the wp-admin home page. and like i said before anything that is using the loading image isnt working.

like visit http://terranbytes.com/ and click on the Newest | Active | Popular links on either the members or the groups and it just sits there loading, anything that uses that images loading does this… kinda odd.

well no search works not even groups or anything. also the three options above the members and groups on the home page arent working, it seems anything that is using the lading image dont work, even the a-z on the blogs and members and groups pages.

i got most the errors gone but for some reason the searches and letter search still isnt working. i really dont think this is wordpress MU but buddypress thats causing this.

Hmm well i installed it with the trunk version 1581 and now i get error 500 everwhere. worked great untill i put buddypress on, hmm. any ideas for this?

Ill go for yet another reinstall then, should i go with current release or go ahead and install the 2.7 version of MU?

Guys i love this script but i just cant get it to work, and since no one will sit with me for a bit and help out ill just stop using it thanks. maybe another time with a better release.

yes permissions are fine, not sure whats going on with everything else, still trying to also get the page not found errors gone.

yea i have sent in a support ticket to 1and1 to get the sub-domains straight, but really i got a few other problems other than that im at loss for. the adding members part really isnt bothering me because i really don’t need this feature anyways. everything else does bother me though. even something as simple as search and the 3 options above the members and groups on the home page aren’t working so i know that something somewhere is off, i just dont know what.
