In reply to: Welcome Pack enabled but doesn't seem to work
You two don’t need to tell me two or three times that you have issues. Like I said, prior to launch I tested it and it works fine for me….
Huh?
I mentioned the 20 user limitation in the dropdown, which you fixed, but not in the “message from” dropdown. So I mentioned that in my followup along with verifying there was an issue with the email being sent out in a different environment than the OP (which I couldn’t test until the 20 user limitation was fixed).
In reply to: Can't upload image to change the group avatar@bpinspire I had this issue on my WP 2.9 setup and I fixed it like so:
- Go to Settings > Miscellaneous
- Blank out: “Store uploads in this folder”
- Fill out: “Full URL path to files”
Not sure why the default wp-content/uploads doesn’t work, never took the time to report it as a bug to see if it was my server or WordPress or BuddyPress at fault.
In reply to: Welcome Pack enabled but doesn't seem to workSame issue here. Set it up and created a test account but no email was sent.
WP 2.9.2 and BP 1.2
Also, I needed to edit the plugin to allow up to 1000 listed in the message from pulldown so that I could select my user account.
Thanks!!
In reply to: Welcome Pack enabled but doesn't seem to work@DJPaul my pleasure!
In reply to: Welcome Pack enabled but doesn't seem to workAlso, when I try to disable it I get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function delete_blog_option() in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/welcome-pack/welcome-pack.php on line 55
In reply to: Welcome Pack enabled but doesn't seem to workI’ve installed Welcome Pack 1.6 in BP 1.2 and WP 2.9.2.
- It only shows the first 20 users in the “Invite the new user to become friends with these people” section.
- Same 20 user appear in the “from this user” section.
Thanks!
In reply to: BuddyPress Links 0.3-beta released for testing@MrMaz thank you! Downloaded the latest development version and everything is fine on my end.
In reply to: BuddyPress Links 0.3-beta released for testingI have 1.2 stable and the development version. Everything looks good with the exception of the link home page (not the Links page).
I get:
Call to undefined function bp_dtheme_firstname() in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-links/themes/bp-links-default/activity/post-form.php on line 18
Running WP 2.9.1 Single User
In reply to: How to find full URL of custom header imageYou can view source and see where the image is being called in from.
Also, if you are using Firefox you can install Firebug and when you “right click” > Inspect you may be able to find it that way (plus a lot of other cool tools)
In reply to: PHP Fatal error RC2 -> RC3That’s what I have been doing. I have ssh access to my server so I just delete the directory, and do an svn export and reactivate the plugin.
I imagine that will be the plan. But since this plugin hasn’t been released yet for public consumption it has to be downloaded or updated via svn.

In reply to: Editing Group and Forum page title tags@r-a-y Brilliant, thanks!
In reply to: Editing Group and Forum page title tags@r-a-y @boonegorges Works for me!
How can you rearrange the order? For instance:
Topic Title | Forum Name | Site Name
In reply to: Group avatar cropping is not workingI had an issue with both group avatar and member avatar where it would upload just fine but the crop tool never displayed the image. I fixed it by changing the settings in:
Settings > Miscellaneous:
I emptied the field for “Store Uploads in this Folder”
and I used the full path field instead, ie:
http://domain.com/wp-content/uploads
That did it for me. Might help.
In reply to: BuddyPress Links 0.3-beta released for testing@MrMaz For some reason when I went to test today the voting was working just fine! Not sure why it didn’t work when I tested yesterday.
Two issues I see:
1) Can’t add a link from my profile > Links tab. Not sure if I am supposed to be able to, just seemed like a logical place to do it from,.
2) When I activate the plugin, the activity stream is filtered to show only Link related activity even though the filter is set to “No Filter”. When I de-activate, I can see all my activity (including Link related activity).
Using WP single 2.9.1, latest trunk from BP and bp-default theme.
Thanks!!!
In reply to: BuddyPress Links 0.3-beta released for testingdefine ( ‘BP_LINKS_THEME’, ‘bp-links-default’ );
That seems to fix a lot for me!
In reply to: BuddyPress Links 0.3-beta released for testingThanks for releasing a beta!
With mine activated here is what happens:
- All activity is filtered/stream is now empty
- Links item in top menu results in a 302 redirect to the document root
- Pasting a link in the activity text area has no effect.
Buddypress: trunk
WordPress: 2.9.1
Buddypress Links 0.3-beta
Child theme (bp-default parent) that alters headers.php, sidebar.php, index.php, footer.php
Thanks!!
In reply to: BuddyPress on a Sub Directory Installed WP 2.9.1OK, I was able to reload WordPress into the doc root to avoid my issue. The particular topic I suppose is resolved but this seems like it is still an issue for WP admins that installed into a subdir of their domain.
In reply to: BuddyPress on a Sub Directory Installed WP 2.9.1This is current WP trunk specific?
I may just try to reload wordpress in the document root.
In reply to: BuddyPress on a Sub Directory Installed WP 2.9.1Thanks! Yeah I had fixed the links in header.php but they are indeed used throughout the site (profiles, groups, forums, etc).
In reply to: BuddyPress on a Sub Directory Installed WP 2.9.1@djpaul I apologize I never included my WP version, I am on WP 2.9.1 and trying to run bp 1.2-rc. Those settings above are WPMU specific right?
In reply to: Buddypress strapline> So don’t link it.
That would work.
My point was that whatever method you use needs to still provide the same level of protection from spammers or else you might as well leave the “powered by…” intact.
In reply to: Buddypress straplineWell, technically most anything that links to BuddyPress is able to be found:
So a footer logo would link, presumably, to buddypress.org.
