The
bp_after_message_thread_listhook will execute each time the page is loaded. What you need is themessages_message_senthook. -
Henry Wright replied to the topic Admin accounts can read other users' private messages via Notifications tab in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 10 years, 11 months ago
@-vitamincee just wondering about your permissions scheme. Would the 20 + admin accounts you have set up would be better off as editors? If a particular user doesn’t need certain permissions then it’s a good idea to not award them. Usually this is done for both security reasons and to ensure there’s less chance of somebody breaking something inadvertently.

Hi @vitamincee
As an admin, you have access to your member’s private messages. That’s by design. Why would you want to restrict access to anything for an admin account?

Henry Wright replied to the topic Activity bar accessibility for visually impared in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 10 years, 11 months ago
Hi @hipp
Sounds like some accessibility enhancements might be needed to the menu’s markup. I suggest you open a Trac ticket giving the core developers as much info about the problem as you can.
You can use your same login details on Trac.

@rosyteddy thanks for the idea. I’ve got my hands full at the moment but try opening a topic on the BuddyPress Ideas forum. There may be a developer looking to take up the challenge

Hi @bphelp
I must admit the FAQ is a little tucked-away out of sight. So i’ll take your advice and add something to the description tab which is in full view for everyone to see.

Hey @danbp
Thanks for the feedback. Before I answer your question, I just want to point you to question 4 in the plugin’s FAQ
Why is it that some members don’t have an identicon?
An identicon is used as a member’s avatar only if a profile photo hasn’t been uploaded. After activating the plugin, all new members will be allocated an identicon.… -

Thanks @peter-hamilton, looking forward to hearing what you find. I’m testing on BP 2.2.1, WP 4.1, no plugins activated (aside from BP) and Twenty Fifteen theme and things are working so it’s more than likely there’s a plugin conflict somewhere.
Hopefully we’ll be able to resolve the problem.

Henry Wright replied to the topic Adding a Title to a User Name in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 10 years, 11 months ago
Hi @outdoorsmen
I’m not aware of a plugin but try looking into user meta. It’s a way of storing information for each user. You could store the user’s title in this way. Helpful articles will be:

Hi @matthias70
The theme used here is open source. See the Open Sourcing BuddyPress.org blog post for more info. Feel free to look at the source code after reading that to see how it’s done.

I wished it was my plugin! It’s fantastic hehe. But unfortunately for me, it’s all Jeffs. I have no affiliation to it whatsoever – aside from being a user of it.
Hope you manage to find a fix!

My guess is Theme My Login is filtering the logout link so that /login/ is used in place of wp-login.php.
I noticed from the ‘bad’ URL that there’s no
_wpnonceparameter. That is possibly the reason for the ‘Are you sure you want to do that?’ message.WP nonces are important because they indicate intent. If the processing…[Read more]
