Well said Hugo! It also seems to me that if it was checked by default it would make it even easier for spam bots to compromise a site.

Your right, in my test it does not show up either. I believe this is a known bug for xprofile fields for logged out users. Maybe @hnla or @mercime can shed some more light of whether a trac ticket has been submitted on this issue.

thanks @hnla is there a way to make it add new users to main site automatically? i’ve noticed certain things aren’t working quite right such as new users ability to view forums (have no role) and display of usernames on the profile page when the user is only a network user.

I don’t mind helping. I just think it would simplify helping out people if filling out those areas if for the version of WP/BP etc. was a prerequisite before the submit button would work. I give you my opinion and tried to explain you how this is working. Maybe i’m wrong, maybe not. And my english is not the best  for explaining such subtilities.

Perhaps others like @hnla or @mercime will give you better advice.

@hnla – there is no reason I choose buddybar, it’s just a choice. It takes awhile for me to style CSS on WP toolbar what I want. So I kind of get pretty close what I want.

@aces – Yes it does work. Great, I have an optional either toolbars. 🙂
