@apwinthrop Does something like this close to what you are looking for?
https://buddypress.org/community/groups/buddypress-activity-as-blog-comments/Sorry, only wish I can be dev like everyone here. I normally copy/cut paste in different areas. I’m willing to try if you point to right direction. When code is posted, it’s like foreign language. Does that mean it’s not topic for discussion?
please add for topic
–notification when using @mention in wordpress side (blog, comments, etc.)
–wordpress type moderation in buddypress (blacklist, admin must approve, author previously approve, etc.)
–buddypress import/export backupEach person buy chat plugin: it will have cometchat brand on it AND cometchat ads running? any version is only for single domain? audio/video chat plugin is added $250? WOW, did I understand correctly?

plugin listed as 1.2.5 but theme is still listed as 1.2.4.1Login to dashboard, go to Buddypress and then Forums Setup to install. Once it’s configured, create a group called Support or whatever you want to call it and then you have a forum inside.
Tested patch by @cnorris23 and it’s now working. Yes!! Thanks, one less open ticket for buddypress 1.2.5
Thank you for pointing me there. Would you know if this is @apeatling side forum/site?
Are you saying if I start with new install of everything, it should work with the BP template pack plugin?
@rueschhoff The last part of the user registration is to upload a picture for their avatar.
If there is a plugin, please point me in right direction.
Try to disable the plugins by removing them from the /wp-content/plugins/ folder
@DJPaul is referring to the pretty permalinks setting within the admin dashboard. Scroll down and click on Settings and then click on Permalinks. Say you select the second choice and save, you will see .htaccess in same folder as wp-config.php
@angelntini The .htaccess file may be hidden. Depend on what program you use to access your files, you need to show all files.
@latinosamorir
I didn’t see that problem. I have two required fields and when I register, it redirect back to the page and it shows “This is a required field”. I’m using buddypress 1.2.4.1 so maybe it is already fixed.wait for version 3.0 to be release
wpmu2.9.2 is basically a merge of standalone wordpress and wpmu.
you can enable multisite (wpmu) in 3.0 by a simple wp-config.php file edit@angelntini
Since you also use filezilla, have you tried to upload the buddypress to the plugins folder (wp-content/plugins) instead of from search?Here’s one you can try:

https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-maintenance-mode/screenshots/@dascribe More details. Are you using wordpress mu or wordpress?
@nbishop
Go to your wordpress dashboard – settings – general and make sure that ‘Anyone can register’ is checked next to ‘Membership’Have a look at these plugins and see if it fits
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/quick-press-widget/
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jet-quickpress/@jeffsayre visited your site to get details and looking forward to release. unsure why simple privacy not included in buddypress from start but glad you have something for us.
@chrismitchell You will only see the menu if you use WordPress MU.
Good to see it in there even if it says 1.4+ which can mean any version after 1.4. Thanks for pointing to it.
