    Ho @vignesh-m,

    I’m the WangGuard developer.

WangGuard is free is you don’t make $200+, you are a company or you don’t make more that 5.000 queries day.

You need an API Key because your WordPress has to “talk” with WangGuard server, it is like Akismet, you need and API Key, but it is free. In any way, if you need to get a “Premium” API Key, it will be 12€/year. I think it is very cheap.

    Kind regards

Was that plugin adding a back door?

The security question works, so bots cannot register in the website.

How long are WangGuard active in your website?

If are active less than 2 days, maybe are signups made before WangGuard was installed.

All users has 48h for activate their accounts, so maybe bots are blocked. Wait 2 days and update the result here.

    Hi,

I’m the WangGuard developer. I’m very interested in this trend.

With WangGuard the users can report users activity and users from his profile.

What do you need, I can implement it in the next release or maybe in an add-on.

Now there is an add-on for blacklisted words, now don’t work in activity (comments, groups, message, etc) but in a future release, I will add it. With blacklisted words, the admin add some blacklisted words, as Viagra, cialis, etc. when a user use that words in a post, the admin is noticed by email with a link to the post. Too, that words can not be used in usernames, emails, blog names, etc.. Ex. If a user use the username thebestviagra, he will be blocked.

I will add this feature to the activity, so if a user use that words, the admins will be noticed.

Now, what do you need in moderation/report?

    Kind regards

    Hi @ubernaut

Yes, if WangGuard detect a user as splogger and you mark it as not splogger, he is flagged as “Checked Forced”. That will force to WangGuard to accept that user as good user at your WordPress.

But if you mark a user as Splogger, and then, you mark it again as Not Splogger, he is flagged as Checked user and he is removed from WangGuard database.

    Hi @boonebgorges

Yes, I know, I commented is_super_admin() for tried to use it.

Ok, I will move some functions to a file loaded by 'bp_include'

I will open a ticket with the enhancement 🙂

And yes, I used WP_DEBUG and the debug.log for log errors, but any error was there, except this

PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/***/public_html/wp-includes/canonical.php:398) in /home/***/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 899

Nothing to be with BuddyPress or WangGuard (I think…)

    Thanks a lot.

    @mareksgregs use this plugin:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordfence/

That plugin will check all core files.

Do you use WordPress simple or WordPress Multisite?

    @jconti

    Hi @mareksgregs and @ubernaut,

    I’m the WangGuard developer.

Search the user in the database (wp_users). You need to find there.

You need to check wp-config.php, index.php, wp-content and if you use a cache, wp-content/cache

I think you have been hacked. Is impossible that a user don’t have and email and if you delete the users and 5 seconds later, the user I’d there again, there are a script that create the user.

And yes, every 2 days, we have a very big attack. Now, we are looking for bigger servers with a best protections agains this attacks 🙁

    Kind regards

    Hi @orbitor

How you said, WangGuard works great for protect your website and with the Wizard you can check many of the old ones. But every website is different and WangGuard knows many old Sploggers, but not all of them. WangGuard is only  1 year an 11 month old (today).

The first year blocked 750.000 sploggers, and in the in the next 11 months,  5.000.0000 sploggers. You can see that its growth is exponential.

About your question if there is a tool for check the humanity of your old users… I’m sorry but only WangGuard. WangGuard is the only tool out there to check users

    Kind regards
