Also, will activity streams on the new site show dates and times? That would be quite helpful in seeing how recent or stale a response is.

I’ve asked elsewhere and haven’t received an answer. How long until a new support site is available? Weeks? Months? Does someone know?

Could we please have some idea when to expect improvements / fixes to this site? Weeks? Months?

Sorry, I meant buddypress.org, of course.

Might there be a way to reming bp plugin authors to make sure they have a bp version listed on the wp site and that it is up to date?

Also, I think “might” need to be updated for the codex page is a bit of an understatement. I realize that everyone is juggling a lot, but it creates a lot of confusion for new users when plugin information is missing or inaccurate.

    Thanks for your response @mercime.

I am still confused about how to tell from a plugin’s page whether it is really compatible with 1.5. Looking at one plugin at random at https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-group-management/ that supposedly passed, it’s page says compatible up to Buddypress 1.2.8. Does one believe the “passed” or the 1.2.8. If it’s only good up to 1.2.8, is there any way to tell how actively it is maintained and when it might be updated (other than noticing who the author is, perhaps)?

A number of the plugins showing “failed” show a date of August, 2011. Is there a planned update to the status of these plugins?

It also seems that only some plugin developers specify a Buddypress compatibility version at all, which seems problematic.

I think we are drifting away from the topic title, but this website would ideally make it easier for users to know the status of 1.5 and its plugins, rather than having to gather incomplete information from multiple sites.

I realize that we are depending on the kindness of strangers, but regular updates and some idea of timelines would be helpful.

It seems like there is a bit of a vicious circle. The forum we use to ask questions about buddypress and report problems gives a poor impression of buddypress (despite the clear hard work of volunteers) and makes it hard to find and track answers. I guess the answer, for those who can wait, is to wait until more plugins and and the forum are fixed?

For those who are new and want to use plugins, and those who use plugins and haven’t upgraded yet perhaps it is unwise to install 1.5 until there is more progress?

Would it be possible to have an update on the transition of this website? I have seen a few mentions that there is a redesign going on, but no details. Is there an end in sight for the next version? Also, would it be possible to share some of the enhancements to expect? Thanks.

Does anyone know if bp group organizer is being updated for bp 1.5.1? If so, is there a date in mind for when it will be ready?
