In reply to: Finding Buddypress.org Designers/ Developers
We’re not that hidden
(*puts on her designer t-shirt). That said there is a job board here you may want to check out.In reply to: Require ‘Donate’ button in ‘Groups’I see you mentioned this in a previous post:
https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/buddypress-donate/
Sounds like either a custom job or plugin to me. Maybe a potential options is:

In reply to: BuddyPress 1.5 compatibility for plugins and themes@modemlooper: Lets have a thread somewhere else about this, I don’t agree but it should be an open discussion as said not on this thread.
In reply to: BuddyPress 1.5 compatibility for plugins and themes@Pisanojm: External blog is more of a tutorial but thank you for the rest.
@stwc: as @enderandrew said it’s still beta this list is more a guide and help than a omg panic button inducing one
All is good but lets just keep each other informed.@modemloopers / @Svenl77 can we if cool keep this to updated plugins / issues rather than a mobile discussion. To that extent please start that in forum as a thread as personally I have like others opinions on that such as looking at responsive rather than the app approach (not time for debate here though
).@Travel-Junkie: Thank you updated those plugins to show working.
In reply to: wp-admin bar showing up in my footerI’d also check you are including the BuddyPress admin bar styling in your theme… I assume you are?
In reply to: wp-admin bar showing up in my footerUsually this is a result of a scripting error like a JavaScript clash. It’s a bit of a process but my first recommendation would be to remove all plugins (bar BuddyPress) then add each in. If you could provide a link assuming site is live maybe this could be confirmed.
In reply to: Forum permalinks not working on buddypress.org?There has been a fair bit of ‘furniture moving’ and refreshing work done on the forum several things are not working or not working fully as of yet. I’m sure it’s on the list though and being dealt with.
In reply to: BuddyPress 1.5 compatibility for plugins and themesAll added and good point @enderandrew added a category on that list for external plugins (same with themes).
In reply to: BuddyPress 1.5 compatibility for plugins and themesIf you want to see the current list you can here: https://codex.buddypress.org/releases/
In reply to: Buddypress Followers Alignment IssueHmm editing still not working.. change that to float:left; should do the job but please check if impacts other places I only looked at that one instance.
In reply to: Buddypress Followers Alignment IssueThe issue is:
Code:div#item-header ul li
float: right;Cool patience may be needed but all tickets get an eyeball at some point I find. Don’t worry BuddyPress is a really cool friendly place you don’t get punted if have a point.
In reply to: BuddyPress Dashboard Menu MissingReally being able to see your site through a link would probably help if that is possible. However, you mention localhost so I take it you’ve not got it on a server. Diagnosing as a result is going to be tricky.
I take it you’ve confirmed it is theme not plugin (other plugins to BuddyPress) by testing with the default BuddyPress theme? Your comments seem to be saying that?
Outside of that it really is going to be a case of using something like Firebug or WebKit Inspector to try and pin down what is going on where. My guess is either an unclosed div or some scripting but I really can’t know without a link. Perhaps someone else has some better ideas I’ve not used that theme so probably if they have they can give better insight.
In reply to: Can’t upload avatar pics if extension in capsNot wanting to point to ‘go over there’ but really this being in the BP Album section would help you as under requests and feedback probably isn’t going to really get you the best response sadly.
You’d probably be looking at profile fields. Here are some starting points:

In reply to: timthumb vulnerability and BuddyPressTimthumb would be theme side not plugin side. The fix is fairly easy to any theme that does have it however most won’t and use featured images / built in WordPress functions that do similar things.
You can use as much or as little of BuddyPress as you want. So yes you can just use the membership components – avatar, profile, sign up.
If you want it considered to be part of the BuddyPress core then filing an enhancement ticket is usually the best route.

If you have a patch for it smiley faces of happiness all around as that really rocks.
As a work around you probably want to look at some of the user limiting plugins / membership / privacy.
In reply to: Admin Control of User AvatarYou mean like an avatar moderator? No solution springs to mind but perhaps something in this search would be helpful?
My first thought is perhaps that plugin somehow interacted with something. However can we go right back to basics and maybe try the default theme with no other plugins (making sure cache plugins are cleared will also be a good check)?
I get it is sometimes hard to do that but be interested in seeing if you get the expected behaviour then.
In reply to: Broken links on BP “Support” pageThere are still some rough edges I think are currently being smoothed over … that being one of them. I’m sure it will all get resolved soon though. 1.5 beta is probably taking up some time currently too

I’ve not explored it but if I was tackling this from a theme view I think you’d be looking to do a template switch. What I mean is if group name is x show x template, if y show y template. That’d be the first step I’d suggest.
In reply to: Message replies are sent twiceAnd by noi I mean no …. Sadly editing posts still doesn’t work
In reply to: Message replies are sent twiceHmm something doesn’t quite sound right there. Just as a sanity check are you testing using the default theme with noi plugins bar BuddyPress?
In reply to: login works, but I get a blank page firstThis appears to be a duplicate post please check my response in you other thread
