@mercime replied to the topic Can't put widgets on Buddypress pages? in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 9 years, 9 months ago
@rapforthemoment thank you for clarifying the issue. I’ve just tested on a clean WP/BP installation and widgets I’ve added are showing up in the sidebar of all BuddyPress pages. What kind of widgets are you adding? Single WP or WP multisite? What theme are you using? Is this localhost or in production site?

@rapforthemoment You can’t put a widget on a page whether it’s BuddyPress or a regular WordPress page. You can only place a widget in a widget area.

@nomad48 I’m sorry, this issue was not addressed in the latest release. If you have a test installation or a localhost, you can try to apply the latest patch imath posted in ticket to check it out.

should I have those folders and file within my theme folder instead?

@mercime replied to the topic what is "Pending" mean? in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 9 years, 9 months ago
@jessiewordpress in a way yes. Either because the activation email got caught in their spam folder, or they have not clicked on the activation link, or they did click on the activation link but did not log in yet.

@nomad48 Could you check the header.php file of your theme re whether it has
<title><?php wp_title( '|', true, 'right' ); ?></title>
within<head> ... </head>
or if there’s no<title> ... </title>
tag at all. The ticket I pointed out to is relevant for themes with the second scenario. -

@agentswall You’re welcome. Marking this as resolved.
The Create Groups link has always been in the Groups Directory page, not in the individual groups page. There is also a Create Groups link in the BuddyPress section in the Admin Toolbar which I see you have disabled. You could add the link if you want in the menu you added for logged in users…[Read more]

@agentswall It’s working now. The “Create a Group” link is now alongside “All Groups” tab.

@agentswall problem is that you appropriated the Page you assigned to groups and filled it with posts. Edit the Groups page and remove any content/shortcode you might have placed there.

@agentswall If I input a dummy email then I wouldn’t be able to activate the account… unless you have a plugin activated which allows anyone to join without activating. Create something like username: test, password: test123, for example and I will delete it from your post here.

@nomad48 what theme are you using? There is an outstanding issue with themes which use the new title feature. Have you you updated that SEO plugin? https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/6107
