In reply to: Fatel Error
WP/BP versions? Single/Multisite? Did you change to BP Default theme? I haven’t seen this error in a while.
In reply to: (Is BuddyPress Free) Help needed on BP CoursewareHave no idea. Changed the title of your forum topic to include BP Courseware which is as it should have been.
In reply to: (Is BuddyPress Free) Help needed on BP CoursewareBuddyPress is free.

In reply to: [Resolved] Why all my text stay in the middle?There was no alignment in your theme’s style.css for the table elements.
Add:
padding-left: 10px;
text-align: left;
totable tr td, table tr th {
vertical-align: middle;
}In reply to: Alyeska Theme CompatibleThe result now is that my bbpress page’s show a blanc page.
Step 3 of the BP template pack plugin has nothing to do with the bbPress plugin’s forum page showing up blank.
All probability is error in the bbPress installation/configuration process. Post each step you made after installing bbPress plugin and also info if you’ve installed Group Forums as well.
In reply to: Need help on somewhat mangled BuddyPress installThe right column appears under the main data, not next to it, where it should be.
@bobmorris60 Read instructions on how to align the right column with the content as well as the cons of using a table-based theme. https://buddypress.org/support/topic/footer-is-in-left-column-on-buddypress-pages-atahualpa-theme/#post-132799
In reply to: [Resolved] Harmony Theme Compatibiltyhowever i can’t see changes in my website.
@slkmclaren I see that the changes worked fine in e.g. your members and activity pages http://faintlight.besaba.com/members/fladmin/ and http://faintlight.besaba.com/activity/ respectively. What page/s are you looking at?
In reply to: [Resolved] Harmony Theme Compatibilty@slkmclaren instructions at http://wp.me/p1I84P-3R
In reply to: WPMS stand alone plus multisite?they see the Dashboard option of the main site … is there some way of disabling that?
In reply to: [Resolved] Harmony Theme CompatibiltyThanks for following instructions by creating a new topic 🙂 Will post url when ready.
In reply to: [Resolved] Frontend control panel wont expandI was editing the header of my theme
@number_6 Clarifcation please: editing header of your theme from the front end or via wp-admin > Appearance > Header? WP/BP versions? What theme are you using? If you deactivate BuddyPress does the “control panel thingymajig” expand?
Either my template is screwed up
Note that the instruction also includes that if you’ve revised any of the BP templates in the 6 folders, delete those 6 folders in server and go through Appearance > BP compatibility again for a clean slate.
Did you upload the two new files sidebar-buddypress.php nd header-buddypress.php to your theme folder in server i.e., wp-content/themes/sahifa/ per instruction? I don’t see the div elements added in those two files in the source code of http://respectthefresh.com/rtf-members/
Otherwise, your sidebar won’t be dropping below content area.Is the css from this page supposed to go into the Sahifa css
Yes. Easiest way is to add those at the bottom of your Sahifa style.css file. Then adjust to taste.
In reply to: want to make compatible with bp my theme@slkmclaren Sure, you can make the BP template files compatible with Harmony theme. Initial scan shows you only need to create 2 new files to make it work. Have to be sure though.
To begin, create a new topic in this forum re your Harmony Theme compatibilty. Open up your theme’s header.php file, copy all code and paste into pastebin.com, click submit and post the generated URL in the new topic you’ll be creating. Do the same for your theme’s page.php, index.php, sidebar.php and footer.php files. I’d like to see the whole picture.
@djpaul cannot recreate the issue. Checked http://studioself.com/file/template-bp-registration and noticed it was not corrected per boone’s fix bp_blogs_get_subdomain_base() in ticket posted above.
@johnnyalxndr either you need to update your theme’s register.php file yourself per fix posted in trac ticket above and/or contact theme author about the issue. Are you using the latest version of Salutation theme?
I’ve done all I’ve could to get it to at least align correctly, but nothing has worked.
I’ve posted instructions on Step 3 of the BP Compatibility Process for the Sahifa theme. You only need to create 2 files for theme compatibility. See http://wp.me/p1I84P-3m
In reply to: Mobile versionWhat theme are you using?
In reply to: BuddyPress and WordPress Update – Need helpWhat they said. Most important, backup database & server files and to expect that plugins/themes from BP 1.1 won’t work in current WP/BP versions.
In reply to: Buddypress admin bar dropdown not appearing in IEWhat dropdown menu? I don’t see any at this time. Changed themes/menu perhaps.
In reply to: Same Nav Bar Network WideThat’s default behavior of multisite installations whether BuddyPress is installed or not.
There are a variety of ways to make a sitewide main navigation. One of the ways is http://wpmututorials.com/plugins/networkwide-menu/
@djpaul I remember that issue https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3760 and it was resolved https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3684
In reply to: WPMS stand alone plus multisite?One where the main site is a social based one where users can interact etc, but then to have a method by which to give users their own personal blogs as well yet still be part of the main site.
@voopress That’s exactly what you’ll get in a single WP Multisite installation by default. Read the information on the page I linked to above. You do not need two multisite installations like you mentioned in first post above
In reply to: [Resolved] Customising Alyeska Theme for Buddypress@aronmartin I’ve posted the instructions for Alyeska theme at http://wp.me/p1I84P-3O
In reply to: [Resolved] Customising Alyeska Theme for Buddypress@aronmartin the old code got mangled with the redesign so do not copy the leftovers above. I did make backups of instructions I posted in the forums. I just have to look for that one and post the code somewhere. Will let you know in about an hour or so.
In reply to: Menu here on Buddypress.orgYou just add
position: fixed;to your #header (or whatever hook you have) in your theme’s stylesheet. Use Firebug, a FF add-on, or the Chrome Inspector to find what styles are used in the elements you want to copy.
