In reply to: Theme Size Problem For Inbox Messages
== my theme and inbox messages being larger than the content area ==
Are you using BP Template Pack with your WP theme? Inbox messages should have been contained within the content area if Step 3 of the compatibility process was successful. Is that page the only one affected within the individual member’s pages?
In reply to: 1.7 theme with multisite@famous something like this for multisite user blogs http://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-profile-for-blogs-widget/
In reply to: Adpating theme with BP Template Pack@sb0n What theme are you using? Theme demo URL? need the pastebins for your theme’s header.php, index.php, sidebar.php and footer.php files. Initial scan shows that you could possibly get away with creating two files for compatibility instead of revising 16 files, but I want to see the “whole picture” first.
In reply to: How to install BBpress with Buddypress?== My end goal is to not have the “group” forums, just normal forums that don’t require group access. ==
@yoyobestbuy if you want sitewide forums only (aka bbPress plugin) then go to dashboard menu Settings > BuddyPress > Components and uncheck “Discussion Forums” https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/
In reply to: [Resolved] Whats the deal on the plugin page?Houston here. No problem at all, keep on rockin’
@micjavier provide testuser login info so I can see the buttons you’re referring to.
In reply to: [Resolved] Whats the deal on the plugin page?As I see it, the plugins posted are sorted in the order of most recent updated plugin first. Not acting weird.
In reply to: [Resolved] I need your help!No disappearance happening. Change color of font
`div.activity-comments p { color:#555 }` or some other dark colorIn reply to: BuddyPress private Message WebPiurify feature@voarsh either you’d have to learn to code this yourself
or ask WebPurify if they’d create a plugin to integrate with BuddyPress
or hire a developer to do so at https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-jobs-board/ or http://jobs.wordpress.netIn reply to: proposal@ashraf something’s getting lost in translation. There’s no bganz plugin in the link you posted and guys above are already rapping.
@nstjwz you’re welcome. glad it worked

Marking this as resolved.In reply to: Can’t enable forums inside BuddyPressRe permissions error:
– Please post issue.when BuddyPress is installed in a network created by Networks for WP plugin at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/networks-for-wordpressRe: what the “use excisting installation” & “install group forums” differences are.
– If you have never installed Group Forums before, i.e., no bb-config.php at the root of your WP install, then you would click on “Install Group Forums” button
– Click “Use existing installation” means using the Group Forums (BP’s internal custom bbPress) which was created in BP version prior to upgrade to latest version.Re: And just in case I need to have more added to wp-config.php, this is the BP related define I have in there: define(‘BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG’, true);
– https://codex.buddypress.org/developer-docs/bp_enable_multiblog/
At this stage, I suggest removing that from your wp-config.php until you resolve permissions issuesIn reply to: possible memory issuesDefine memory limit first before activating BuddyPress. If that fails, contact webhost re memory limit issue/s. Re syntax error -> https://buddypress.org/community/groups/installing-buddypress/forum/topic/fatal-error-14/

In reply to: Creating a site from the registration pageHave you checked if the selection was changed from allowing user registration and blog creation to allowing user registration only? What theme are you using? If you change to bp-default theme (during low traffic hour) can you create a blog then?
In reply to: Homepage schedule@monchib There’s no plugin that does what you want. You’d either have to code it yourself or hire someone to do so.
In reply to: [Resolved] Problem with Volt theme templateGlad it worked out for you
In reply to: Cannot Edit, Delete, Open or Sticky Forum Topics@kpolkson
– Have you tried re-uploading BuddyPress manually via FTP/cpanel/etc?
– Did you install WP via webhost script or did you install it manually?
– Have you deactivated all plugins except BuddyPress to see if it is a plugin conflict?== I have been trying to but a sidebar on my member home page ==
What do you mean?
In reply to: BP 1.7 Theme files – still need to edit?@marks99 the BP Default theme is responsive and best to test if everything’s is in working order throughout the site. After which, feel free to build a child theme off bp-default theme which could look like the modernize theme
In reply to: [Resolved] BuddyPress and Sports Mag ThemePost the full-width template code in pastebin.com so I can double-check code
In reply to: [Resolved] BuddyPress and Sports Mag ThemeI don’t see the style mods from Twenty Ten in your stylesheet http://lad-mag.com/wp-content/themes/sportsmag-single-pro/style.css
Also, do change code in Members directory to that with sidebar so I can correct code for full-width as needed.
In reply to: [Resolved] BuddyPress and Sports Mag ThemeIt works for all we’ve helped out with template pack, some with minor tweaks. Need to see. Site URL? Or just need to clear cache.
In reply to: Installation stops at PermalinksTry re-uploading the BuddyPress folder, this time manually via FTP/cpanel/etc
WP adminbar missing from front end or wp-admin?
== Am I missing something with Buddypress on Multisite install? ==
Is BP set up for main site or subsite? If subsite, did you define in which blog_id BP will run in?( ‘BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG’, true ); is used only if you want to access the BP components from the other subsites. Also enable_multiblog requires that you activate BP-compatible themes in subsite/s you want it to work.
In reply to: [Resolved] BuddyPress and Sports Mag Theme@wizza to make it full width, you just have to change the lower bottom of the files to
`jQuery(document).ready( function() {
if ( jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).length && !jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).hasClass(‘show’) )
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).toggle();
jQuery( ‘input#signup_with_blog’ ).click( function() {
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).fadeOut().toggle();
});
});`
for the registration page and remove the ` … ` for all other templates.If that doesn’t work, add another `` just before “
