== I have a repair button. It says I need to add buddypress pages manually. I really do not know what to do. Please help! ==
You can create a Page (Pages > Add New) for each BP component you activated. Then go to Settings > BuddyPress > Pages and select the page you created for each component then click save.
== to install BP for cubepoints integration. ==
Post at plugin’s forums at https://buddypress.org/community/groups/cubepoints-buddypress-integration/forum/
@shawn38 marking this as resolved, but we won’t close it at this time. Thanks.
@guitaragora Open up permalink.php from wp-content/themes/wallbase/members/single/activity/permalink.php
At the very top of the file, replace “ with what I posted above for the top part
At the very bottom of the file, replace “ with what I posted above for the bottom part.
@ashraf something’s getting lost in translation. Are you asking how to add profile fields (https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/configure-buddypress-components/#users-profile-fields) and/or asking for a demo site which allows you to add profile fields (none public that I know of) ?
== But what I don’t understand is that it doesn’t look like the group forums were ever created, even though I had the box checked. ==
Check your database if the 7 bbp_ tables were created https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/#bbpress-forums-tables-in-database
In addition, basic troubleshooting would involve changing to bp-default theme and deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress.
How did you install your WP, via FTP (manually) or via webhost script? Issues crop up if you installed WordPress via fantastico, scriptalicious, etc. https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/before-installing/#system-and-server-requirements
@nggablog https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/
If you already installed Group Forums in Settings > BuddyPress > Forums, then you should find your bb-config.php file at the root of your WP installation i.e., same level where you find your wp-config.php file.
Within the groups loop “
@mrharris That’s strange. Have you created any bp-custom.php and added a privacy/restrict function where instead of `!is_site_admin`, you posted `is_site_admin`? Are you using the BP Default theme? Did you try deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress?
@whiteeagle1985 The usual caveat: before making any major changes to site, backup DB and server files. https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-group-management/
== I’ll back up and reinstall with the download. Org because the current installation was by Softaculous. ==
@josefabiosan Good decision. Webhost installation scripts are not kosher with BP per https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/before-installing/#system-and-server-requirements
@heidipj @sbrajesh has posted BP search tutorials/plugin at BuddyDev.com for your edification

@guitaragora double-check in Appearance > BP compatibility that you did Not disable JS, otherwise there’ll be issues like you mentioned above.
== Except plugins. Their pages are not loading the ‘wordpress theme’ in the same way the main buddypress pages are,and I am having trouble getting them to work correct. ==
@fuzylogiq Some BP plugins have their own template files patterned after the bp-default theme. Usually you would transfer said plugin template files/folder into your own active theme. Then open up each plugin template file and superimpose the HTML structure of your theme onto each plugin template.
== I am using the Kaboodle Labzip theme. ==
@obsidianmarketing based on what I’ve seen on theme’s author’s site, Kaboodle parent theme has support for BP, bbPress and WooCommerce. You should post inquiries about the theme with the theme author.
== have wordpress installed in a sub-directory and I did not do a manual install – I used fantastico. ==
And therein lies the problem. If you’re going to use BuddyPress, do a manual installation as there have been hiccups with webhost scripts https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/before-installing/#system-and-server-requirements
maddogmcewan adding shortcodes to form fields is better addressed at WP forums https://wordpress.org/support/
Great, twc01. Thank you, hnla, Marking this as resolved.
Cool, Marking this as resolved.
@hotmark Which forum are you referring to – Sitewide Forums or Group Forums? What theme are you using? Site URL?
== Is there an option somewhere that sets the main Forum layout? ==
Depends on the theme.
Haven’t seen this. Are you using the bp-default theme? Do your have any registration plugin activated?
@farandhigh if I’m not mistaken you’ll have to add a form/forum on the screen/template which is provided by BuddyVents. Since that is a premium plugin which the community has no access to unless purchased, you should be asking the plugin author.
== BuddyPress installed OK. ==
Not quite. You see that message under “Add New Page” title in your image “The following active components ….. REPAIR”. Click on Repair and make sure that each component has an associated page first.
@guitaragora for example, /members/index.php file, change
`
`
to
`
`
at this point, the revised title would be somewhere in the structure like so
`<div class="post" id="post-“>
`
so you move it to above `
WP/BP versions? What theme are you using? What plugins are activated in your install?
