Just to clarify, Is this happening for topics posted in Group Forums or is this happening for your Sitewide Forums?
In reply to: uninstall buddypress by the serverIn reply to: [Resolved] Notifications errorGo to admin dashboard menu BuddyPress > Components > Account Settings – should be checked to avoid errors in the meantime – Allow your users to modify their account and notification settings directly from within their profiles.
This has been fixed in trunk as a solution to a different issue but involving bp_get_settings_slug as well.
In reply to: Newbie: membership integration and other stuff@CharlyNY if you’re in no rush, then wait for it. Or set up a test install where you could explore the options available.
@CharlyNY @komo whatever route you take, remember to always back up database and server files before upgrading. What takes a couple of minutes is better than hours/days worth of ^$#^$^&%%#^&^##.
In reply to: Getting StartedGo forth and multiply your membership
In reply to: Getting StartedIdeally, you should create a test site with the same server environment you have now along with the plugins and theme. Then install BuddyPress etc. and do the BP Compatibility process then some exploration and testing of other BP plugins.
Now, if you are adventurous, you can always back up your database and server files, then proceed with the BuddyPress installation and then the BP Template Pack plugin, etc.. If anything goes awry , you can always revert your installation to what it was before with your back ups.

Activate your Evolve theme.
Install and activate BP Template Pack plugin to make your WP Evolve theme compatible with BuddyPress.
Go through the BP Compatibility Process – https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/

In reply to: Can’t edit child theme filesYou either use an FTP program like FireFTP or Filezilla and/or use your server’s cPanel/FileManager/etc. The first one’s better because you have backup copy of your theme files in the your computer’s hard drive.
In reply to: Buddypress Forums & Group Forums Not WorkingGood. See if you have the bb-config.php you should have at the root of your WP install and check if necessary DB information is correct in bb-config.php

In reply to: Where is the search for the BuddyPress ForumsSorry for the inconvenience. In the meantime, you can use Google search and input “buddypress.org topic/keywords”. Google has indexed our forums pretty well.
In reply to: Buddypress Forums & Group Forums Not WorkingThere should be 7 forum tables in database – https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/3/#bp-forums-db
https://codex.buddypress.org/troubleshooting/blank-pages/
Before upgrading WP/BP, there’s a message to back up database. If you have a back up of that database, you can re-install WP/BP and import database
WP 3.2.1 – https://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/
