@hnla I didn’t think to ask if it was clear that the new dashboard link only shows up for super admins everywhere and for blog owners only if they’re in their blog site
In reply to: Why shold I choose BP?@abhis20 different strokes for different folks, both win in different market areas. I wonder at your skepticism, who is forcing you to use BP for a project? A web developer chooses appropriate tools/applications to implement what’s needed to engage users for own site or for client’s site. There’s no conflict.
In reply to: Any successful Buddypress site?In reply to: Avatar Cropping Page won’t load site imagesDeactivate BuddyPress and BP-dependent plugins. See if your media upload works in the first place. Before installing BuddyPress – https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/before-installing/#wp-configuration re media uploading
Is your install multisite? If so, post content of your .htaccess file
De nada, glad you resolved the issue on your own, and a Happy New Year to you too

One way to change member list presentation without touching core file is by adding some tweaks below any other styling in your active theme’s style.css. Something like :
`ul#members-list li {
border: 1px solid #cccccc;
width: 110px;
height: 110px;
float: left;
margin: 0px 5px 5px 0px;
padding: 3px;
text-align: center;
overflow: hidden;
}ul#members-list li img.avatar {
float: none;
padding: 3px;
margin: 0px 0px 5px 0px;
}ul#members-list li span.activity,
ul#members-list li span.update,
ul#members-list li div.action {
display: none;
}`
I haven’t tested this so adjust to taste, but you get the idea …To remove the admin bar completely

In reply to: BuddyPress is Awesome!No worries. I agree, BuddyPress is awesome
In reply to: The wire won’t update…Looks like it’s the Activity Stream in the home page. @sbrajesh‘s free BP Wire plugin has different markup.
Check out this walkthrough to get a bird’s eye view of what kind of work is entailed and some tips to ensure compatibility with BP Template Pack.

In reply to: Editing Creat New Blog SignupYou’re welcome.
P.S. Just in case you were thinking of changing the text about the blog creation in core file, you should instead change it either this way – http://blog.ftwr.co.uk/archives/2010/01/02/mangling-strings-for-fun-and-profit/ – or this way – https://codex.buddypress.org/extending-buddypress/customizing-labels-messages-and-urls/
In reply to: [Resolved] Disable ”Links” Tab in BP-DefaultNo worries
You’re welcome.In reply to: Adding Register Notice to Admin Bar?What I posted was an example of adding a link to the adminbar, in this case, the Dashboard link for a Super Admin only, not for your specific scenario. Assuming you didn’t change the registration slug, it would be something like this
function register_link_adminbar() { if (!is_user_logged_in()) { echo '<li><a href="/register/">Use this link to register</a></li>'; } } add_action('bp_adminbar_menus', 'register_link_adminbar', 2);Adjust as needed.

In reply to: Important Buddypress Function not workingYou can post here as well: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-jobs-board/forum/
In reply to: Adding A Link To Profile Homepage@peternemser no, because it is not in the default theme.
If you prefer, create a child theme of bp-default theme https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/building-a-buddypress-child-theme/, then copy the header.php of the bp-default theme into your child theme folder, then add this in `
- `
`
<li class=”selected”>
<a href="” title=””>`
The benefit of the “custom code” in functions.php is that you don’t have to copy over the header.php to your child theme folder.
In reply to: Adding Register Notice to Admin Bar?In reply to: Adding A Link To Profile HomepageIn reply to: [Resolved] Disable ”Links” Tab in BP-DefaultBy default there is no “Links” tab. Links tab appears when you install and activate BP Links plugin.
The weird thing is that the BP Activity component link is working while the Members and Groups component links are not working.
Do you have any membership plugin turned on which requires Is_user_logged in?
If you change theme to bp-default theme are the links to Members and Groups working?In reply to: Change word ‘Activity’ by ‘wall’ for examplehttps://codex.buddypress.org/extending-buddypress/changing-internal-configuration-settings/
`define ( ‘BP_ACTIVITY_SLUG’, ‘wall’ );`for the rest: https://codex.buddypress.org/extending-buddypress/customizing-labels-messages-and-urls/
