10-4. Corrected in previous post.
In reply to: How ca I disable nested replies in activity?@Gene53 I missed one more. Add this:
`div.activity-comments ul li { margin-left: 0px; }`In reply to: events plugin?In the end, it’s all a matter of when you need to implement the calendar component. A matter of choice whether one is willing to wait one month or so as the plugin matures since there are still some bugs, compared to using a plugin that’s tested functional in live installs now.
So @tubruk if you have a deadline e.g. this Wednesday, you know which plugin would not cause members messaging you that this or that in the calendar is not working. But if you have the luxury of time on your side, you can wait a month or so to see how the other plugin develops.
`div.activity-inner { }`
and in specific page
`body.specific-page div.activity-inner { }`Bookmarked. Two thumbs up. Thanks @nuprn1
In reply to: How ca I disable nested replies in activity?“Latest WP & BP versions w/ default theme”
First, it’s better to create a child theme so that when you upgrade BuddyPress, your revisions won’t be erasedAdd to the bottom of your child theme’s style.css
`div.activity-comments ul li > ul {
margin-left: 0px;
}`In reply to: Buddypress on Sansation@mgelblum Many things in your post are do-able with BuddyPress out-of-the-box and with additional customizations and plugins which are free and those which are paid for. And then it also depends on your server and your ability to go through with the project or might need to hire someone to do.
As for the Sansation theme, either add BuddyPress Template Pack or port Sansation design to your own BuddyPress Child Theme. Either way, you need to have HTML/CSS skills with knowledge of WP/BP template tags.
In reply to: events plugin?@paulhastings0 same here – high hopes and considering kunalb has done a good job and JJJ mentored. Are you using EventPress now in live install?
In reply to: Change single tab colour“rule conflicts and badly constructed descendant selector sets”
true @hnla, but only for this occasion. That’s the reason I suggested placing the style at the bottom of style.css in not so many words
10-4. @modemlooper
`/*** Highlight this page tab for a few weeks ***/
ul#nav li.page-item-582
ul#nav li.page-item-582 a { background-color: #FF0000; }`In reply to: events plugin?I am using Jet Event System for live install and it’s working out well. I haven’t used EventPress for live install yet, only checking it out in test install. Others might like to chime in.
In reply to: Change single tab colourAww @hnla, !important makes me happy
In reply to: events plugin?Re: stability – what works for me may not work for you. Did you read information about the plugins? Both plugins are being actively developed. There was insufficient doc on EventPress, so here’s a sample – http://gsoc2010.wordpress.com/2010/07/12/status-update-4/
In reply to: Change single tab colour>@markhahnel it’s a matter of style’s specificity/using correct selector and precedence
Place this after the last style in your active theme’s style.css file
`/*** Highlight this page tab for a few weeks ***/
ul#nav li.page-item-582 { background-color: #FF0000 !important; }`Then delete the block when you don’t need it anymore.

Edit – I see you found it while I was looking for it
In reply to: BuddyPress Share It button live@nit3watch @pcwriter – indeed, it was a file path problem in version 1.0 of the plugin. Corrections in version 1,01 resolved that. Re-activated all other BP/WP plugins in test install and all are working well together.
Thank you @modemlooper.
@kita.huyen – I might have misunderstood you.

In reply to: BuddyPress Share It button liveHi @modemlooper, uploaded your plugin in test install (BP 1.2.5.2 on WP 3.0.1 multisite subdomain upgraded from WPMU 2.9.2).
– In admin’s activity panel, the list which should come out when the Share button is clicked on is already there listed vertically, and twitter, facebook, etc button images are not showing up. Clicking on each no-image social area does bring up respective login pop-ups.
– In group’s activity panel, clicking on Share button in group header does not open up the social buttons, and the same vertical list with no button images happens here as well. Clicking on each no-image social area does bring up respective login pop-ups.
– I then disabled all WP and BP plugins except BuddyPress and Share It plugin, cleared cache but same behavior shows in the test install. I still have the mu-plugins working but those are tested in many WPMU/MS installs and deal with security.
– On another note, I’ve tested so many BP plugins in this test install I’m surprised it’s turning out this way, so will be checking your plugin in virgin install tomorrow. Crossing my fingers.Thank you.
In reply to: Changing order of pages?First, build a BuddyPress Child Theme
Then copy header.php from bp-default theme. Lines 45 – 79 show the main navigation links of BP components which you can reorder, and below that are the wp_list_pages and bp_nav_items for BP plugins to hook into.
