    @francescolaffi I think there should be an upload dialog on the groups page but I think it should just be an extension of a users albums. When they upload the image gets placed in an album on a users profile called “group photos” and gets tagged to a group.

    This way we can see who owns a photo.

    @21cdb yup, that too. Groups and profile really are the same upload. When your at a group and you upload it auto adds (tags) it for that group. If your on your profile it asks for you to add (tag) to a group.

    Group photos should just be an extension of your own albums. During the upload process you should have the option to add that photo to a group.

    Why upload the same image twice?

    Think flickr groups >> group pool. I think this is where your tagging method will come in to play.

    I have all my site files going to Amazon s3. Have pretty much everything activated and works good. One plugin that I installed was javascript in footer and it made the pages load twice as fast.

    The second choice, I think, is your easiest option.

    I am still confused as to what you are trying to accomplish. Do you want a full browser width admin bar but keep the title and links the same width as the page content? If so you don’t need to add a div. #wp-admin-bar is the full width of the browser. #wp-admin-bar .padder is coded to scale.

    Swapping header.php on the blog files so it calls different CSS?

    You are going to have to give a link to this site as there is no way to tell where you’ve placed your div.

    I agree 980 is a good width for BP

    If it’s an existing site and you have analytics you can see what the average screen resolution of your users. I would not max your width to that number though as @jivany has pointed out. Also, a ton of people are using laptops more than desktops now and tablets are entering the market. You want to give users some room on the sides.

    BuddyPress External Group Blogs

    DOES NOT WORK! It still pulls in the same blog posts over and over again.

    Not sure when. Working on it between other work. This theme / webapp should work fine on Android devices too. It’s just a web page.

    Thats what shows in the activity stream. when you go to the actual forum post it looks normal

    When you post a forum topic it’s not being sent to either FB or twitter. Forum replies are sent but not when you start a topic.

    No, if you have BP installed correctly when you choose preview it should look fine. I have no idea about this child theme. My directions are simply how you install and activate a child theme. You should never do testing on a live site.

    BP is not just a theme it’s a plugin. Do you have it installed and activated?

    @modemlooper

    upload that theme to your wp-content/themes folder and activate theme. In the folder there are some directions. You have to change the readings settings

    Played with latest version and I’m afraid users are not going to get the workflow. The tagging to create groups is going to throw people off.

    People are used to:

    Creating album and name it

    Uploading images to album

    Naming, tagging images and saving

    The create album part of this workflow is mushed into tagging and people will not want to add tags to all their photos. They are lazy. It would be easier if they clicked an album and then upload button in that album says “add to album”. If they are on the main albums page and click upload then there should be a drop down that lists the current albums and the image being uploaded gets placed in that album.

    The tagging system should just be a categorization method.

    Example you have an Album of movie posters called action films and in this folder you have several posters with the actor Brad Pitt. So you tag these. Well Brad may have posters in a comedy album as well. So you could tag them and then sort through all images via the Brad Pitt tag.

    ok added another page template. Theme was sent to the repo.

    If you want to use Thin Wide Thin layout on front page just change the Home page template and save. The only thing is the columns are still 123 so you might need to switch your widgets around.

    I’ll do the thin-wide-thin template. Somebody asked for that.

    somebody asked how to add the login form to the front page.

    In widget.php

    find:

    <div id="third-section" class="widgetHome">

    add this right after:

    <?php if ( is_user_logged_in() ) : ?>

    <?php do_action( 'bp_before_sidebar_me' ) ?>

    <div id="sidebar-me">
    <a href="<?php echo bp_loggedin_user_domain() ?>">
    <?php bp_loggedin_user_avatar( 'type=thumb&width=40&height=40' ) ?>
    </a>

    <h4><?php bp_loggedinuser_link() ?></h4>
    <a class="button logout" href="<?php echo wp_logout_url( bp_get_root_domain() ) ?>"><?php _e( 'Log Out', 'buddypress' ) ?></a>

    <?php do_action( 'bp_sidebar_me' ) ?>
    </div>

    <?php do_action( 'bp_after_sidebar_me' ) ?>

    <?php if ( function_exists( 'bp_message_get_notices' ) ) : ?>
    <?php bp_message_get_notices(); /* Site wide notices to all users */ ?>
    <?php endif; ?>

    <?php else : ?>

    <?php do_action( 'bp_before_sidebar_login_form' ) ?>

    <?php endif; ?>
    </p>

    <?php if(function_exists('twit_connect')){twit_connect();} ?>

    <form name="login-form" id="sidebar-login-form" class="standard-form" action="<?php echo site_url( 'wp-login.php', 'login' ) ?>" method="post">
