@MrMaz Hii,
What’s going on with BP links? It stopped working properly, the “fetch the link” function stopped working.
Using the latest versions of WP, BP and your plugin.
I tried both in Chrome and IE, both are completely insensitive to my intention to fetch a link.
I don’t know if it’s a css or ajax or whatever issue, fact is it does not work…[Read more] -
driz posted on the forum topic Why using pages for BP sections is a bad idea in the group Requests & Feedback: 13 years, 11 months ago
@Travel-Junkie I wouldn’t call it innovation. Using pages for such functionality is a hack. @MrMaz I like the idea of BuddyPress being split up, but not as a theme, I think it should remain a plugin, but just not so robust. The problem the WordPress community is making is trying to make it so that literally anybody […]

@Mrmaz great plugin, thanks.
Buddypress Links has link categories, how would one go about editing the widget so that there were potentially multiple instances of the widget with the ability to pick the category of Links that would appear in that widget? Thanks.

Mark started the forum topic BP Links Navbar directing to wrong domain when in subdomains in the group BuddyPress Links: 13 years, 11 months ago
@MrMaz Hi I’m using Buddypress 1.2.6 with WordPress 3.03. I noticed that when using your plugin in a subdomain and I click on the plugin link in the navbar to go to the appropriate page that it points to http://www.subdomain.site/links instead of http://www.site/links like it does on the home domain. This was also problem with BP […]

@MrMaz Hi Marshall,
I really like your Links plugin! I’m not using it right now because I’m missing an important feature (for me atleast :). You talked about a custom bookmarklet for your plugin so you can post news with just a press of the button (like Press this) but I can’t find it anywhere. Maybe you haven’t posted it yet so I was wondering…[Read more]

@MrMaz Yep you are right, on both. I did not noticed bp activity had not-integer ids, and I also wonder why (maybe there’s a good reason, I just don’t get it), problem is that removing the casting would not solve anything because in bp moderation table are stored as int so there will still be casting […]

Hi guys, Glad everyone is liking the plugin! @pisanojm: it’s a forked plugin from Andy’s External Group Blogs, but it has been updated and modified by Marshall ( @MrMaz). It will be added to the plugin repo, but we’re working on something else which will “compliment” this plugin, so we haven’t added it yet. Please leave your […]

@MrMaz Great plugin and impressive feature set.
The plugin works just fine on my local server, but fails to fetch the title/description on the blog (check http://www.pluggd.in/links ).
Any idea/possible areas that I should be looking into?

@MrMaz I’m having the same issue as greg fielding had with BP Links. It wont fetch the page details at all in IE or Firefox, It doesn’t even show the blank field names and descriptions in IE. I’m using WordPress MU 3.01, BP 1.2.6 and BP links .5 . Do you think it is a DB […]

@nahummadrid Maybe @MrMaz can tell you something about the performance of the plugin in more detail, but the feeds are cached and only checked once an hour or on a direct profile visit. So far the plugin has been performing great, and I have not noticed any performance issues with it. It is a lot less heavy […]

@MrMaz has made a pretty cool plugin for BP-Tricks.com, which is now available for download. It allows your members to attach an RSS feed to their profile and imports new blog posts from that feed into their Activity Stream. It’s based on @apeatling his External Group Blogs plugin, but will be improved and extended in the near […]

@MrMaz I’ve been looking at your plugin and have watched the last 3 ”major” updates. This plugin has most of the ability to do what I would like it to do and is designed well for it’s purpose, but ultimately was designed for a different purpose than I would like to use it for. I would […]

@mrmaz , Great. Thank you for the revision.
I hope you updated the Create a Link page so each category is on a new line instead of smushed together in one lump sum paragraph. Keep up the great work! Love the plugin.

@MrMaz I’m trying to add support for links on my mobile theme but can not figure out where to put the theme files in the my theme structure to make it override the default. All other plugins I’ve done this with work very easy but for some reason I can’t get yours to work. Thanks.
