In reply to: Date shown in Default BP theme
Ok, New ticket is here:
https://trac.buddypress.org/ticket/2601In reply to: Date shown in Default BP theme@newrambler this is in the index.php of the buddypress theme… you have to go into the buddypress plugin –> then theme….
In reply to: More Core Committers?I’m for anything speeding up the process… BuddyPress is on the verge of taking off and “taking over”. I check the trac daily to see where we are in the process and help as much as I can… mainly because I NEED to get some of these seemingly basic fixes accomplished. The guys you’ve mentioned above are very SHARP, but there are time/money & commitments/constraints involved…
I firmly believe that once the 1.2.6 patch is released the BuddyPress platform will have shaken off it “childhood” stage and be primed to be THE major contender in the field of Social Media Platforms. Once “we”/”They” knock out 1.2.6 (and fix the issues with searching the BuddyPress Site and Site Spammers) the sky is the limit and people are going to begin to look at the fledgling “ugly duckling” of WordPress as the SWAN that it is.
BuddyPress is on the tarmac waiting to fly… it won’t be long now…
In reply to: Date shown in Default BP themeHey @r-a-y I ran into this today as well… This fix is as you said in the files you said.
Simply delete the existing line and add this line to the files in question:
-?php the_time(‘F j, Y’); ?- at -?php the_time(‘g:i a’); ?-
Change – (minus signs) to PHP angled brackets.Seems like this should be in the default-theme from the get-go… maybe a ticket?
@warut that change listed above seems to solve most of the issues (anyone trying to copy this text, please realize you’ll have to change the ticks to normal ticks from “fancy” ones).
There seems to be two remaining issues with regard to formatting the xprofile data:
There probably should be soft return after each Field… and the bold/color only effects one “row” of the text data in the field and not the entirety of the text field. You can see this in the image below… For instance where it says “full name” Dr. is on the same line and should be carried underneath the xprofile field. You can also see in the xprofile field “What Level(s) do you teach” only the the last row is bolded and high-lighted and not the WHOLE xprofile field. One last question, how can/where can I add a simple text line to the very bottom of the badge?

@warut Ok, I tried this tonight. It looks like the HTML being generated is now correct (with regard to correct file paths), however the preview is broken. It also doesn’t look like it is pulling in the photo of the person when this is checked… you can see here:

Some progress was made though!

@warut thanks I’ll try this tonight….
@warut Thanks! Would you mind posting this code to a pastebin and copying the link here?
http://pastebin.com/Once your donate link gets working at the BuddyPress site, I’ll be glad to donate to this plugin. Thanks.
@warut When I started looking at your path I realized that these don’t exist in a single install…. any way to work around this for us single site users?
In reply to: BUG: bbpress reply with buddypressWorks great, just have to remember to comment out the end if too… Thanks.
@warut… Also, I should have noted that this is NOT a MU environment…. maybe that is the issue? This is a WP Singe Install…
@warut Here is what is I am getting using WP 3.01 -BP 1.2.5.2, default-BP theme, PHP 5.3.2 Reloaded-Your Current Version Plugin from above link…

In reply to: BUG: bbpress reply with buddypressThis is probably something that should be considered for change in the default theme… it’s not intuitive just having the reply in the last page of pages…
In reply to: BUG: bbpress reply with buddypressWas looking for this… I will try today. Thanks @nuprn1 !
@warut Can you please link here in this forum as to WHERE the new plugin is?
Also, please note that beyond the link not working, there is no PREVIEW of Text etc.@r-a-y @boonebgorges The Plugin Link is broken here:
https://buddypress.org/community/groups/buddypress-badge/Can this be repaired?
In reply to: Kick (but not ban) a user from a a group?Killer Ray, I ran into this problem last month, but just let it go…. I’ll test this tonight as well.
In reply to: Make Private Groups VisibleRight, I was saying look at the code to see if you can replicate what you want.
In reply to: Make Private Groups VisibleI can’t help, but it looks like you might be able to glean something from the Announcement Plugin where anyone can read, but people can’t post….
@warut Any more on the badge plugin? Have you given up development… I looked through the code today and it is way above my head…. anyone else? This Plugin hasn’t been updated since April and there are NO alternatives anywhere even at the premium BuddyPress sites….
In reply to: Future groundbreaking pluginsAs an educator, I am very much looking forward to this plugin. Thank you for developing this.
In reply to: Adding topic tags after topic creation?I would love the ability for my moderators to add tags to already posted forum topics… Most people that are starting on our BuddyPress site (educators) have never really dealt with folksonomy (tags). This is a TOP needed BP core function.
The Wibiya bar chat is quite amazing as well…
In reply to: field autocomplete for messages?Any more thoughts/action/takers on the autosuggest ideas here?
In reply to: Getting rid of Gravatars …Nope… for our non-avatar-selected users, we simply use a custom graphic of the “mystery man” that blends well with our site…
