I’ve created a report for this on our bug tracker here:
https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/7508Update – Here’s a fix:
https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/attachment/ticket/7508/7508.01.patchThis will be added for BP 2.9.
In reply to: User Profile Fields not showing and can’t be createdIt sounds like you might not have migrated the DB tables properly.
If possible, try and set up a local install with the same DB tables to try and duplicate the problem.

In reply to: Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.Is BuddyPress network-activated or not?
If not, this bug exists if BuddyPress is only activated on one site instead of network-wide:
https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/7472If you are able to, try adding this fix to
bp-xprofile/bp-xprofile-admin.php:
https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/11520If you don’t want to modify the lines manually, you can replace the file with this:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/buddypress/BuddyPress/master/src/bp-xprofile/bp-xprofile-admin.phpIn reply to: replace _wpnonce with somethingIt’s not possible to do this.
My advice would be to just educate your users on what a (security) nonce is.
Currently, this isn’t possible.
Would need to be custom-developed.
In reply to: where is the register end pointFor example i have the exact same contact form as the register page on the site so if i submit the form post data to site.com/register will it register?
The registration URL is whatever you have set in the WP “Pages” menu. Look for the “Register” page to double-check, but the default is
site.com/register.Did you try POSTing to
site.com/registerURL? If so, what happens?Basically how would i register a user from outside the site in code
You can just use
wp_insert_user()if you need to register a user into WordPress. If you want to use BP’s signup function, use
bp_core_signup_user().I think this is caused because we attempted to fix the upload button issue with the Microsoft Edge browser, but it affected mobile browsers as a result.
To keep track of this bug, see:

Glad that you understand that those of us that reply on the forums do it on our own free time, and not for the glory.
Next step from becoming an enthusiast is to make the leap to contribution *hint hint*. That’s how most of us get involved. We can always use more help.
In reply to: BP CSS not loaded in headerReading this may help:

example.com/members/me/groupsIn reply to: Adding a full buddypress page to a new pageIf you wanted to add a heading to your Members Directory template, there are two methods:
1. Override the Members Directory template part:
The template part is the actual template file used to render the Members Directory output.
Copy
/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-templates/bp-legacy/buddypress/members/index.phpTo:
wp-content/themes/YOUR-THEME/buddypress/members/index.phpAnd make whatever changes you need to make.
2. Override the Members Directory template hierarchy:
https://codex.buddypress.org/themes/theme-compatibility-1-7/template-hierarchy/Template hierarchy basically means a page template used for the surrounding template part.
If you don’t want to read the guide above, basically, copy your theme’s
page.phpand move it to/buddypress/members/index-directory.phpin your theme’s directory. Then, add your heading before the page loop.In reply to: Adding a full buddypress page to a new pageWhen you set up BuddyPress, you have the option to map BuddyPress components to WordPress pages:
So basically, if you mapped the Members Directory page to
example.com/members, you can go to your WordPress Pages menu in the admin dashboard, find your Members Directory page and rename the slug frommembersto whatever you wanted likepeople. In reply to: Adding a full buddypress page to a new page> Can i call a complete bubbypress page on to a new page ?
Short answer is no.
You can however, change the slug of a BuddyPress page via the WP admin’s “Pages” menu. If you can change the location of the slug, this should satisfy most use-cases.
> with php maybe? or create a shortcode?
Yes, anything is possible with code! It depends what you want to show though.
There are some plugins out there that show BP content via shortcodes. One of them is this one:
In reply to: Login page dont responsiveIt’s responsive for WordPress default themes like one of the Twenty themes.
@hnla – Perhaps we should extend responsive support for the registration screen to bp-legacy / bp-nouveau directly instead. I know breakpoints will be an issue, but we could probably settle on a width.
It’s a trivial warning caused by the Video Conference plugin. Forward the debug message to the developers and they should be able to easily address it. The problem shouldn’t affect the functionality of the plugin though.
If this is a production site, you shouldn’t have debug messages displayed. Turn them off by setting
WP_DEBUGtofalseinwp-config.php.In reply to: How to Clean Buddypress datas? It should be safe to empty the database tables that you want to clear. However if you are using a caching plugin, you would also want to clear all caches (especially DB and/or object cache).
In reply to: Hidden Groups – Unable to access as Super AdminIt took me awhile to think about what might be causing the issue and I just remembered the problem.
It’s a theme conflict with BuddyPress.
BuddyPress adds the CSS class
hiddento a group in the group loop. Some themes might already have a.hiddenclass declared, so hidden groups are not shown because of this. Can you add the following CSS snippet to your CSS?
#buddypress .bp-single-group.hidden {display:block;}I believe this should fix your problem.
In reply to: Hidden Groups – Unable to access as Super AdminHmm, I cannot duplicate this problem.
Can you try deleting your hidden group and creating a new one?
Do you have the friends component active?
It could be caused by the at-mentions suggestions code.
Try disabling it by adding the following to your theme’s
functions.phpor bp-custom.php file:
remove_action( 'bp_activity_mentions_prime_results', 'bp_friends_prime_mentions_results' );In reply to: Hidden Groups – Unable to access as Super AdminYour hidden group will be visible when you are logged in.
In reply to: Buddypress Plugin bbpress Forum on line 301How did you install bbPress?
It sounds like you activated the “Group Forums (Legacy)” component in BuddyPress. You should try disabling that.
Can you paste an example of the activity content?
If you need to, use pastebin.com.
Those class methods only run on embed pages, it shouldn’t run on regular page content such as single activity pages.
My guess is a plugin is running the
'embed_html'filter on the activity content somewhere. In reply to: Change Admin Bar Menu Links? You need to use a custom language file.

Sounds like a problem with your theme. What theme are you using?
Also, on your production site, you should disable debug messages such as those by changing
WP_DEBUGtofalseinwp-config.php.In reply to: Is it profile or members conditional tags?bp_is_member()is deprecated.Use
bp_is_user()instead.
