@sbrajesh, thanks for the code and your quick respons. It’s works well for user profile pages. Then, what about the members list page (tab/menu), whether there is also a code that could make it redirected to the main blog?

Trunk has not been synced with branch for over 2 months. With BP 1.2.5 out the door, @johnjamesjacoby has said that he will soon be merging the 1.2 branch into trunk. So, the changes discussed in this thread will see thier way into trunk.

Any updates on the group / sub groups plugin you are developing? This would be a killer solution for making large numbers of groups manageable.

  The group tag allows almost same thing to do, so I dropped the idea of developing a plugin to categorize the groups. Do you think, a group category will be more useful than group tags and what differences you expect ? just curious and want to understand the use case..

@boonebgorges and @turquoisefish FYI there is a free plugin by @sbrajesh which brings the Wire back to BuddyPress 1.2 and another way using the Activity section as Wire in BP 1.2 themes

@erich73, have not tested this with WP 3.0 but @sbrajesh has a free plugin for BP 1.2 – The bp-wire for putting the Buddypress wire back to Buddypress 1.2 or method by which you could Use Activity as Wire as well

@sbrajesh Can you amend this foursquare plugin that create a new custom profile field in BuddyPress for the user to enter their Foursquare RSS feed then buddy press displaying the latest checkins of a particular user.

Bump! Using solution #2 did work to add the link, but I just don’t think I want to sacrifice the sorting and “active” tab highlighting (which is what it’s caused).

Can anyone walk me through implementing solution #1 mentioned by @sbrajesh?
