did the WP admin update to WP3 & still have the same issue, need to sort this ASAP, any ideas?
In reply to: Is bp dying a slow death?I noticed a lot of projects slowing down & waiting on a stable release of WP3.0, with that about to happen I’m sure dev will pick up here again.
I wouldn’t worry about BP just yet…@hnla the issue is happening me on a 1.2.4.1 BP install with WP 2.9.2, my install with WP3 RC is fine
@r-a-y I have another WP3 RC 3 with BP 1.2.4.1 install on the same server & it doesn’t occur.
I want to do a fresh install with 2.9.2 and see if I can reproduce but not sure if there is much point as it looks like WP3 will be out today or tomorrow.thanks @nuprn1, I switched back to the dafault BuddyPress template & the same happens.
any other ideas?Is there any special rules I need to add to my .htaccess for BuddyPress pages to not return a 404 header status?
I just noticed if I create a page called forums in wp-admin, the forums directory still shows but a HTTP/1.1 200 OK is then returned.
found the solution on:
http://dev.commons.gc.cuny.edu/2009/12/06/upgrading-from-buddypress-1-0-to-1-1/
works perfectly.In reply to: Blog comment AvatarsFound a solution for this on trac, works fine now.
https://trac.buddypress.org/changeset/3035In reply to: Registration email, link to profile?@pisanojm with the default theme, I made no theme edits, I did try a few different plugins today but I’m now sure it is the BuddyPress Activity Stream as Blog Comments plugin that worked for me.
@pisanojm, formatting pretty messed up on this post, so hope you can read this.
Yes, I’m sure it is the latest plugin I mentioned that puts activity stream replies to forum posts into the correct forum thread.@pisanojm, @takeo really sorry, I activated a few plugins today for testing, this is the one that worked out of the box for me https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-activity-as-blog-comments/
@takeo I didn’t do any of the theme edits yet, but the activity stream to forum replies worked out of the box for me.
Only tried with WP3.0RC & BP 1.2.4.1@pisanojm check out this plugin: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/buddypress-group-forum-extras/
In reply to: Registration email, link to profile?In reply to: Buddypress version of wordpress 'mystique' theme?New version now up on http://mystique.bp-theme-converts.com/downloads/
Fixes the CSS & custom background image issues.In reply to: Buddypress version of wordpress 'mystique' theme?@anaxent spoke too soon, see the issue now, will fix & update the zip.
In reply to: Buddypress version of wordpress 'mystique' theme?@anaxent it’s working fine on my test install http://mystique.bp-theme-converts.com/activity/ I did make a few changes before making the zip so I could have left out a closing div maybe?
Do you have an URL I can see?In reply to: Buddypress version of wordpress 'mystique' theme?@andrea_r http://mystique.bp-theme-converts.com/downloads/buddypressmystique.zip
It’s not perfect, main problem being the Mystique JS conflicts with the BuddyPress JS so I have disabled Mystique JS on BuddyPress pages.
The problem with this is the Mystique tabbed widget no longer works on BuddyPress pages, so I set to display none on those pages.
If you know of a way to disable the widget on those pages, please let me know.In reply to: buddypress-skeleton-component – saving to database?ok, to update a database table on ajax updates, I think I need to add the action to ‘wp’, something like:
function data_to_add() {
global $bp;if ( !is_user_logged_in() || $bp->current_component != $bp->activity->slug || $bp->current_action != 'post')
return false;check_admin_referer( 'post_update', '_wpnonce_post_update' );
add_my_data('100', '200','6');
}add_action('wp','data_to_add', 3);
however, it still doesn’t work. any ideas?
@DJPaul maybe you would know? how are you doing it with your new version of the achievments plugin?In reply to: buddypress-skeleton-component – saving to database?Sorry, only getting back to this now.
@jeffsayre or anyone else who might know,
I realised the saving to DB only works on the non ajax updates, like creating a new group.
If I turn off JS in my browser, the saving to DB does work on previous ajax updates, like updating your status.Any idea how I would get it to save to DB when using the default BP ajax updates?
Have to agree, finding BuddyPress plugins that integrate with & add to BP is getting harder because of the current extend section.
In reply to: buddypress-skeleton-component – saving to database?@xberserker the version I sent you over doesn’t save the points to the DB, it still relies on CubePoints for this.
I just left the save functions in so we can use them at a later date if we want.In reply to: buddypress-skeleton-component – saving to database?@xberserker cool, will try that.
Sending you over version of your plugin with Points page, let me know if you need any help with it.In reply to: buddypress-skeleton-component – saving to database?Just tried
add_action('groups_group_create_complete','data_to_add');
and it works! Is there something other than bp_activity_posted_update I should be using for updates maybe?
