In reply to: Can not logout
What’s the URL for your logout link?
In reply to: Can not logoutDoes logout actually log you out? when you hit login, does it ask you for a username and password?
Glad you got it working, strange that it’s not working on the staging server.
In reply to: Can not see membersHi @brajesh, it was just a quick fix for the issue where assigning a [page to BuddyPress removes it from the pages list in the the Menus screen, basically you need to create the menu before you assign the page to BP, either way works.
In reply to: Can not see membersSorry Anders I was being a bit thick and not understanding your issue. I know the problem and the answer is to deactivate BuddyPress, this will make the page visible under pages in the menu’s page, pick it for your menu and then reactivate BuddyPress. That should sort you out.
In reply to: BuddyPress – Friends RequestsWhich plugin are you referring to here? I don’t recognise those links as part of BuddyPress, there’s not a requests-inbound endpoint in BP that I’m aware of, where does the boss part come from? same with requests/?new the bp default is simplt requests. When I try to access another users friend requests, I get an unauthorised notice.
In reply to: How to add custom code to user registration? You could probably hook this up to the action
bp_core_signup_userhowever your code looks like it’s trying to work with the search page, not the registration page.In reply to: Hide User’s Private Messages from Admin(me)There’s nothing easy you could do to exclude just that information, however one quick fix would be to hide via CSS the download Personal Data link that appears once the user has confirmed their email address:
.export-personal-data-handle { display: none; }In reply to: Author box as widget in side barThe plugin is still under active development, if you are having issues with it you should raise them on the Github site. I found it works for one use case but there’s a known bug when used with custom post statuses that messes another use case I have.
In reply to: Change Public and Private Message button colorsIf so the classes involved are .friendship-button .activity-button and .send-message. so you could add to your custom css:
.friendship-button, .send-message, .activity-button { font-size: 24px background-color: blue }Something like that should do it.
In reply to: Change Public and Private Message button colorsSo just to be clear, it’s the messaging buttons in the members profile header that you want to change?
In reply to: Awards in Profile FieldYep I think you are probably going to need a custom code solution for this unfortunately
In reply to: Invite anyone and user roleNo worries, you had me confused there.
In reply to: Cant find the CSS of the Active/HoverYou’d say something like:
#public:hover { background-color: blue; }In reply to: Some translations desiredccording to this a Swedish translation is available – https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/buddypress/contributors/
In reply to: Some translations desiredI don’t know the answer to that as I know nothing about wordpress.com but I’d hope if there was a Swedish translation for BuddyPress that .com would support it.
Certainly on a self hosted solution you would get the latest translation plus the ability to customise it so that the language used was suitable to your specific site.
In reply to: Send custom emails to membersI’d say ou either need to ask that developer if they can acommodate your requirement or you’d need some custom code written. Either way it’s not a BuddyPress question since it’s wp emails that we are talking about.
In reply to: Send custom emails to membersBy default BuddyPress does not send out emails notifying users that a post has been published, this would have to be enabled somewhere, either via a plugin or via custom code.
In reply to: Send custom emails to membersI’m pretty sure BuddyPress would not send those notifications automatically since BuddyPress only does that for internal components. So you must have some code making that happen. It’s this code that you would need to change.
In reply to: Cant find the CSS of the Active/HoverSo the css selector for that would be #public that’s for the View link by the looks of it
In reply to: Some translations desiredIt’s the WordPress polyglots that manage translations for BuddyPress, they have a slack channel and I think you can find out the status of a Swedish translation from there.
In reply to: Send custom emails to membersHi Frank,
You may be looking in the wrong place, how are these job offers created on your site? is it via a plugin or something more custom? Whatever it is, it will be this that is adding the notifications and it’s this code that will need updating to be more granular in how it sends it’s updates.
In reply to: Change Public and Private Message button colorsHi, which BP Theme are you using? You can tell by looking in Settings>>BuddyPress>>Options.
In reply to: Invite anyone and user roleHi there, you seem to be asking me questions about code I’ve not written, I’m not the author of invite anyone. You are the secod person asking to be able to identify invites users from Invite Anyone. I suggest you raise a feature request on that plugin for this. Then the external invites could also be taken into account.
The options suggested by that post would turn off mentions altogether so I don’t think they are correct. As far as I can see that Autocomplete definition is all that you need. It certainly worked on my test system so there must be something else preventing the mentions lookup from working.
