In reply to: Cant find the CSS of the Active/Hover
What would those buttons be called in English?
In reply to: Awards in Profile FieldMaybe https://wordpress.org/plugins/badgeos/ can do what you are looking for?
in BuddyPress, only members with manage_options capability can update profile groups, though I’m not entirely sure what you are asking.
This is an interesting one, one that’s likely to be hard to track down. However one thing to note is that if it’s only happening to imported comment authors then it would indicate that the import is not working correctly in that there should be no difference between an imported comment author and a standard comment author in the database – they should all look the same. So if it’s only happening to those you have imported the first clue would be to look in your database and see what the difference is.
In reply to: Problem with friend connection componentIs this not a question for BuddyBoss? The features you are talking about do not appear in vanilla BuddyPress as far as I’m aware.
In reply to: Rol in cover page of profileNo yu’d put this either in your child-themes functions.php or in wp-content/plugins/bp-custom.php, looking at the code it should work.
In reply to: BuddyPress not sending emails!Hi there,
Yes emails can be difficult to diagnose because sometimes they are sent but not accepted by the destination email host.
The first thing to do is to deactivate all plugins and see if that corrected it.
IF that fails, try switching to a default theme such as 2017.
Next thing to try is reinstall your BP Emails in Admin>>Tools>>BuddyPress.
If they are still not being sent then you need to turn on WP-DEBUG and see if there are any errors being produced.
If they are still not being sent, then deactivate BuddyPress and see if the standard WordPress emails are being sent.
Some people have got to this point and fixed it by installing an alternative WP Email engine, as it was down to their hosting provider not allowing the WordPress emails through.
In reply to: Rol in cover page of profileHi there, please put code in backticks. Ive edited your post and added them.
So what is the problem with this?
In reply to: Buddy Press ModerationThere’s a new plugin you might be interested in – https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-toolkit/
In reply to: field excerpt to show in members pageYep that fine, you’ll probably need to add some CSS to style it correctly too.
In reply to: field excerpt to show in members pageYep the latest code fixes that
In reply to: field excerpt to show in members pageI’ve updated it again, it should now work
In reply to: field excerpt to show in members pageAh hold on there was a typo in my code. on my system it’s not working but showing the same data for all users. I’ve updated the code, give it a try see how it works for you.
In reply to: field excerpt to show in members pageAh hold on, seems we need to find a different way for nouveau, I’ve just tested it and it does not work. That method would work for Legacy but apparently not for Nouveau. Let me do some digging.
In reply to: field excerpt to show in members pageThat should display it then, the codes good for text and textarea fields. Not sure what else to suggest.
In reply to: User Front End Profile EditThe edit tab should do it, there should be at least the name field that should shown. When you click on edit, what page url is called?
In reply to: field excerpt to show in members pageWhat sort of field is it? I’m assuming it’s just a text field
This indicates you are using wordpress.com, we don’t offer support for that here, they have their own support forums and that specific error would need to be raised wit them.
In reply to: field excerpt to show in members pageOk you could insert the following around line 43 of the members-loop.php:
<?php $value = xprofile_get_field( 2, bp_get_member_user_id(), true ); ?> <?php $value = $value->data->value; ?> <?php if ( $value ) : ?> <p class="item-details"> <?php echo $value; ?> </p><!-- #item-details --> <?php endif; ?>Mae sure you remove any other code you have added.
In reply to: field excerpt to show in members pageIf you go to Users>>Profile Fields and hover your mouse above the edit button for the field you cna see the field id in the url. it sounds like the id is 2 but could you confirm?
In reply to: Looking for compatible Payed Membership PluginBP does not in itself handle paid memberships so you’d need something to do that for you, maybe Paid Membership Pro?
In reply to: field excerpt to show in members pagePlease put your code in backticks ` that way it’s a lot easier to read.
From what I can see there’s a few errors if your code. for example don’t break a <p> element with an if sttement. Otherwise you will end up with broken html. Also an if statement with a : always needs to be completed with an endif. as you’ve written it above you have an if and no endif. Also your code keeps changing. What exactly are you trying to do? Display a profile field? Can you confirm the field id?
In reply to: Severe BuddyPress / Yoast conflictIt’s best if you raise the ticket, even if it’s not very technical, Once it’s raised I can comment on it. You raising it means you can follow it and know what the outcome is.
In reply to: Severe BuddyPress / Yoast conflictI guess the next step would be to raise an issue on Trac, since this sounds like you are wanting a change to the way the code works. include the link to the Yoast discussion.
In reply to: Form Alignment and colorsPresumably it’s your theme that is causing that. One way to hide the search bar would be via CSS. you could try adding the following to your custom css in customizer:
div.dir-search.activity-search.bp-search { display: none; }In reply to: Register Page Does NothingThat’s an unusual one, have you tried deactivating all other plugins? It’s likely to be a conflict of some kind.
