which pages you are trying to edit.
member directory ?In reply to: Add CPT comments in activities feed doesn’t workthe code is for publish of new golfs only. So it wont work for comments.
For comments you need to use wp_insert_comment hook
and bp_activity_add function
In reply to: How to make registration page single column?This is theme area and easily possible
In reply to: Create&book event + videocallWe have this,
Plugin : VibeBP
Plugin : Vibe calendargrab from vibethemes.com [ free ]
So you can do that
use filter “bp_after_activity_add_parse_args” and pass on the component and the item_idadd_filter('bp_after_activity_add_parse_args',function($args){ //Your code // $args['component']='groups'; $args['item_id']=12; //group id return $args; });this would be a long developer thing, basically you need to check all bp_setup_nav and use that filter to change the permission levels at the time when components are registered.
The quicker fix is to simply use some css and hide the controls you want to hide.

our vibe plugin for BuddyPress shows it like this : https://prnt.sc/S2CvwPfELHzPIn reply to: Fatal Error LogRe-save member types at WP admin – users- member types
Also this is a user taxonomy, so some plugin could be applying itself on all taxonomy filters causing this issue. Try disabling third party plugins as well.In reply to: Make default name field not requiredUnfortunately this is not possible. By default the first field is used to generate slug of the user for the direct URL.
In reply to: Registration for two different rmemeber typesOur plugin (free) Vibebp allows you to
a. Assign a default member type on buddypress registration.
b. Generate multiple registration forms and each form can have its own , member type, activation email.Let us know if you are interested, it is built over buddypress. We are still preparing it publish it on wp.org.

USe this code snippet :
add_action(‘register_new_user’,function($user_id){
$default_member_Type = ‘XXXX’;
bp_set_member_type($user_id, $default_member_Type);
},1);p.s : We have this solution inbuilt in our plugin in a slightly different implementation
In reply to: Can we upload images to BuddyPress Topics or RepliesYes possible, but you need a plugin for this.
In reply to: setting up buddypress for theme developerEvents Page is not a BuddyPress feature. Please clarify what you are trying to achieve here.
In reply to: How can I mass update custom profile fields?This is no existing way to achieve this.
For a quick way, you can do this via a mysql query. You need to know the field ID of the profile field, the user ID of the user and the value which is the pincode and enter in the bp_xprofile_data table.

In reply to: Hide admin bar for logged out usersIf it still does not work, use this code snippet to force it. Add in child theme – functions.php
add_action('init',function(){ if(!is_user_logged_in()){add_filter( 'show_admin_bar', '__return_false',99 ); });In reply to: register just refreshes pageThere is a cors error reported in your site on registration. Your cloudflare configuration is not correct. The “SameSite” policy is not validated hence rejected.
The issue is not related to BuddyPress and can not be corrected via code or settings in BuddyPress.
In reply to: Change the CSS on the Register Pagethis is a design question, not possible in default Buddypress. You need a plugin or theme to achieve this.
Disclaimer : This plugin is owned by us and currently priced. It is possible using the extension we have about custom registration forms. [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQ_yvx1xU-I ]. We have plans to make this open source in near future for BuddyPress. Let me know if you’re interested to be notified about it.
In reply to: Hide admin bar for logged out usersGo to WP admin – Settings – buddypress – options – Show the Toolbar for logged out users , disable it.
In reply to: Custom Post Type Activity not displayed on frontendIf the activities are recorded in the database, there is no reason it would not show up in the activity section of the user.
The only possible reasons are caching or the theme customised the activity tempalte.Try switching to a default theme also clearing your cache (Object cache to be specific).
In reply to: 404 on acitivty streamThis is not a reported issue in BuddyPress. This has to be definitely related to UMP. Check if the slug “activity” is already used somewhere. You may want to rename your Activity page to something else and re-save permalinks to check if it fixes the above issue.
In reply to: Link to the members pageIs already possible. Just edit the menu, enable BuddyPress from the screen options. Select the Profile link form BuddyPress member panel into the menu. Save the menu. Done
In reply to: Using groups and not usernameThere is no group logins available in buddypess. AFter all only a user can create an account.
If you share more details, there might be options available for you which you can explore.
In reply to: BuddyPress Overloading ServerYes is very true. We have created a BuddyPress extension called “Vibe” framework which removes this limitation. The entire social network plugins just runs on 1 single page, all other parts of your site remain as it is with absolutely zero impact.
The re-freshing of content is really an extremely poor strategy, imagine if you have 10 active users in your site and they just open activity page without posting anything, your server is still receiving 10 hits per X seconds for content refresh. Our plugin we are using Firebase for realtime data change detection. see video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLDs4Ue1vzU
BuddyPress is still powerful if you use with right extensions.
