Ok, guys. I requested for it to be added to the WordPress.org Plugin Directory. Wish me luck! How long does it take to get accepted for the first time?
BTW, where should I add this chunk of code so when admins delete a update they don’t get points taken away.
global $bp;
if ( !$bp->loggedin_user->is_site_admin )
return false;
Looks like it’s working!
Awesome sauce!
@foxly I sent you a PM with login info to my site for testing.
I’m on BETA-0-1-9-2 I go to the media page and in “fresh” browsers, cleared cached, cookies all that good stuff.
In Safari: Safari can’t open the page “http://mysite.com/members/me/album/â€. The error is: “cannot decode raw data†(NSURLErrorDomain:-1015)
In Firefox: Content Encoding Error The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.
In Opera: Just random character fill the page
At one point when try to view an image I got this:
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/me/public_html/mysite/wp-content/plugins/bp-album/includes/templates/album/home.php:11) in /home/me/public_html/mysite/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 868
Can’t test it in IE because I’m at home (with a mac). But I will on Monday.
I’ve never made a plugin before, so not sure how that goes. But I’m more than willing to learn!
Any tips on where to start?@DJPaul (Paul Gibbs)
Where should I put this code?
global $bp;
if ( !$bp->loggedin_user->is_site_admin )
return false;
In IE8 at work nothing displays, just a “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage”
I changed it to the default buddypress theme and it displayed now, but it get this at the top of the screen:
Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, ‘bp_album_screen_home’ was given in /home/me/public_html/me/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 414
1) Linux
2) At home Mac (Firefox, Opera, Safari), at work Windows XP (Chrome, Firefox, IE8)
3) Same error as above.
4) Single WordPress
5) Do you have any other plugins running? What are they? Does it still crash when you disable them? Not at home to try.
6) Can you please post a copy of your wp error log file. Located in the /wp-admin/er-logs/ directory. I’ll look into this when I get home

^ It did all the above in that order. I get this error when I go to the media page.
In Opera

then a bunch off random characters.
In firefox:
Content Encoding Error
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.

@dre1080 this is something I’d like to see myself.
I have points given for the following, and it’s all working great!
blog posts, comments, logging in daily, forum post/creation (simplepressforum), update/reply (buddypress), creation of a group (buddypress).
I think this has been mentioned. But I would like to a see a mysite.com/photos/
This would show all the photos that everyone has uploaded. Then you can organize by most replies, most recent, etc. This would be done the road though
+1 for Albums in Groups
Looking forward to the next Beta!
Ahh, I was wondering about this. Thanks for that link r-a-y
Didn’t the latest buddypress update resolve this?
@stwc Your css change fixed my issue, thank you!

My change causes other issues. If I had a really long profile update the reply link would show up in the middle of the update.
I did notice you could re-order the albums, nice work! I changed my CSS here and it fixed it. Thanks for the tip:
ul.activity-list li div.activity-content {
margin-left: 75px;
height: 80px;
}
There wasn’t a height there before. I tried 100% and auto. Neither worked. But 80px will do.
I noticed this on the album or tag page. There is a X by the album/tag when I highlight it I notice in the URL it says “unstick”. Then it gets pushed to the side and looses the album cover image and just a text link aligned to the far right with maybe a 15 pixel wide. I did try this with the default theme.
Test is a success. One photo I did upload was 100 by 100. It didn’t show a preview image on the upload page or the album “cover” image. But if you view the image it’s there. Not that anyone would upload a 100 by 100 pixel image. But just a fyi.
So I uploaded 10 photos, with each a different tag, test 1 – 10. Then tagged a few members, and they could see those. And un-tag themselfs as well as tag themselfs.
Keep up the amazing work guys!
But the main thing the bothers me is the activity feed. It makes the activity feed very messy. Enough that I don’t want to use this plugin on my live site. See this screen capture – http://slyspyder.com/screencapture/bd-album-activity.swf
This weird activity has been like this for me since this plugin has come out. I’ve mentioned it a few times, but gets ignored.
mm, I’m on a single wordpress install though. I’ll just make a fresh copy of my live site instead.
edit – ok I found the album photos here – /public_html/mysite/wp-content/uploads/album
and deleted everything in there, and dropped the tables you mentioned and disabled and enabled the plugin.
Got the same error, but I uploaded my first photo and no error anymore.
I had some photos in there before the BETA and when I go to my album http://mysite.com/members/user/album/ I get this:
Warning: array_intersect() [function.array-intersect]: Argument #1 is not an array in /home/me/public_html/mysite/wp-content/plugins/bp-album/includes/bp-album-templatetags.php on line 764
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/me/public_html/mysite/wp-content/plugins/bp-album/includes/bp-album-templatetags.php on line 773

No pics here, why not share some with the community?
Actually tried an account with no photos, same deal.
@Modemlooper wow that is cool. That work on a Palm Pre as well?
^ ahh, good idea. I like that.
So excited for Monday!
Thanks for looking into that foxly.This is the plugin I was referring to – https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cubepoints/
There documentation – http://techcube.net/docs/1.3/docs.html
It’s the only points system for WordPress Single Install
Wow, that did it! I played around on the other parts of my site. To see if that broke something else. I don’t notice anything … wonder what that animation jQuery is for.
I just commented it out for now.
Thanks sooo much!
Now I need to remember all the places I commented out the filter stuff, lol.
Just curious how did you find out so quickly?
Ok, I tried the default wordpress theme and move the templates files using the BuddyPress Template Pack.
Now it’s filtering correctly. Dang, so what do I check in my theme ?
I’m sure there is. I disable the plugins until it starts working I guess.
[Update] Ok I disabled all the plugins except the following:
BuddyPress Version 1.2.2.1
BuddyPress Template Pack Version 1.0.2
Private WP 2 Version 1.0
I’m using this theme – Fusion 3.0.4 by digitalnature
Still not working … so it’s either the BuddyPress Template Pack or the theme … where do I go from here?
