    @mrmaz

I just published my first BP plugin called BuddyPress Links. It is a full featured link sharing component that will add instant social bookmarking capabilities to your site.

Read more about it and download here:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-links/

You can see it in action on my personal site here:

http://primehockey.com/ (no test accounts please, unless you like hockey :) )

I will monitor this thread and do my best to keep things rolling and make any hot-fixes necessary to get over the initial beta testing hump.

    Enjoy!!!

    Hi,

Just installed WPMU + Buddypress on my HSphere box. I’m getting the following error when I try to activate buddypress links:

Plugin could not be activated: fatal error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘;’, expecting ‘(‘ in /home/hsphere/local/home/planchristmas/planchristmas.com/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-links/bp-links.php on line 488

Any pointers for a newbie would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Which version of PHP are you using? Which version of buddypress-links do you have installed?

Thanks MrMaz. I got it now … working really well. Minor suggestion: Maybe the widget title could be customizable? Depending on the site this could be presented in many different ways.

    I’m running:

    WordPress MU 2.8.5.2.

    Buddypress 1.1.2

    Version 0.1.2

The installation is on a Hsphere PHP platform

    Thanks

Is it possible that you are running PHP4? BuddyPress-Links requires PHP5. I guess I should add that to the requirements.

I just created a group for BuddyPress Links where I will be posting the latest news about the plugin’s development. Joining this group will be the best way to make sure you stay up to date!

Unable to receive activation or lost password emails.

Although WPMU now tells me everything is installed and working I’m not able to register using the buddypress frontend. I found a reference in a forum suggesting that any plugins with ‘-‘ in their name can cause the error I’m seeing.

    From my log:

Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use ‘LimitInternalRecursion’ to increase the limit if necessary.

I’m still getting this after deactivating buddypress-links though so may be more of a buddypress general support quesiton. Any ideas?
