    @WPin.me good one, didn’t think about that one. @snark please check else i wil check and fix :)

    @hnla
    and @antoined, looks like they are stored… but seems that somehow they arent uses correctly at the front.

    Do you have a custom template? WP or WPMU?

    @anointed

    @blackphantom no I am using a standard buddypress default child template. So far there are no mods to the child template other than a couple of css tweaks.

    Beyond that everything is the standard setup. I can give you access to the site/db if you need for troubleshooting via pm. Just let me know what info you would need if you can’t replicate this issue on your end.

    Likewise my install is a clean one. live test install WPMU 2.9.1 / BP 1.2.1 no plugins other than BP, and it’s simply running the default bundled theme. I intentionally do not customize this install.

    @WPin.me & @blackphantom — yes, my server is running PHP4.4 — I’ll upgrade it to PHP5 and report back. Thanks.

    Great work on plugin, works really well. I have one issue:

    Tweeting from Buddypress to Twitter is near instant, however, tweeting from twitter to buddypress is taking around 2 hours to come in. Is this an issue with my server? Any ideas on how to speed this up?

    Running WPMU 2.9.1 and Buddypress 1.2.1

    Cheers

    Any idea how i can I test it locally with the callback URL?

    Peter Hofman

    @blackphantom

    @bobin1983, issue twitter->bp will be fixed in new release.

    @itoube
    , you can’t test it locally because you need a valid oauth callback.

    @anoited, if you can give me some access it would be great! Just send me a PM with some data.

    I will check as soon as possible.

    @WPin.me, short url on profile link on tweet will be in next version.

    I will release a new version soon…. like max 2 days.

    Any requests are welcome to, maybe i can add them in the next release.

    Would it be possible to integrate your plugin with this one: https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/integrating-sign-in-with-twitter-or-login-with-twitter-to-buddypress

    Reason I’m asking is that if you login with that Twitter plugin, you need to “allow” Twitter again for the Tweetstream to work for members.

    @blackphantom

    @anton, logging in with twitter is a easy thing to do for me but it’s not what the plugin suppose to do.

    I am a very busy man in developing and got a big mountain of work laying around (plugin ideas).

    Tweetstream works fine now and from little changes,fixes and small feature add-ons it won’t change a lot.

    My next plugin will be simulair like tweetstream but then for a other social site.

    I have plans to create a login like rpx for buddypress but then complete own code so logging in with twitter,facebook,myspace,google etc… unless another developer already is working on it.

    Great news! I found wp_cron so now i can use it to update all tweet imports of users every hour. so the activity stream is always up2date :)

    Will release tweetstream 1.1.7 today.

    Peter Hofman

    @blackphantom

    New version! Version 1.1.7 just released.

    Grab it over here: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tweetstream/

    * Added more places to import tweets (faster updated).

    * Added cron for tweets import.

    * Fixed deny access on twitter bug.

    * Small bug with syncing fixed.

    * Shortend url when user chooses for profile link added to tweet.

    * cyrillic texts fix.

    * Added russian translation.

    * Fixed deny access on twitter bug.

    Is that anything to do with the issue Anointed and I were having with authorization or is it some other issue?

    @blackphantom

    hnla, its another thing.

    Tweets are only taking about 10 minutes now to update – better than the 2 hours I had before!

    Any ideas of ways of speeding that up? I’d like to get as close to instant as possible….!

    The login like RPX will be an excellent feature!

    Looking forward to using this plugin!

    WAS getting the same error as @snark: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONST, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in …./html/wp-content/plugins/tweetstream/twitter/EpiCurl.php on line 4

    I was running PHP 4 – upgraded and now running PHP5 (5.2.6)

    I deleted the plugin from /plugins and reactivated and it WORKS.

    Since the 1.1.7 update i am getting these errors:

    [04-Mar-2010 21:48:03] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get_results() on a non-object in /hsphere/local/home/wwwuser/domain.com/wp-content/plugins/tweetstream/tweetstream.php on line 1092

    [04-Mar-2010 21:49:18] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get_results() on a non-object in /hsphere/local/home/wwwuser/domain.com/wp-content/plugins/tweetstream/tweetstream.php on line 1092

    [04-Mar-2010 21:49:27] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get_results() on a non-object in /hsphere/local/home/wwwuser/domain.com/wp-content/plugins/tweetstream/tweetstream.php on line 1092

    Obvious the twitter synchronizing stopped working (worked perfect before in the pre 1.1.7 versions). Any idea what is happening here ?

    @all, Will release new version, in 1.1.7 is a major bug.

    Peter,

    Here a patch with some typos in the nl_NL.po file:

    34c34

    < msgstr “Wil je dit bericht ook twitterren? Controleer je”

    > msgstr “Wil je dit bericht ook twitterren? Controleer je “

    128c128

    < msgstr “Met filters kan je bepalen wat wel en wat niet geimpoteerd wordt.”

    > msgstr “Met filters kan je bepalen wat wel en wat niet geimporteerd wordt.”

    Thanks for this great plugin :)

    Version 1.1.8 has a bug with WordPress 2.9.2 with BuddyPress 1.2.1

    Enabling this plugin disables buddypress profiles, which returns 404 on every member profile page.

    I’m using custom member slug for my BP install, so please check if there’s conflict on your code with users with custom BP slugs. This is the only BP plugin I’m running aside from BP.

    Hi ,

    I have installed the plugin, and set up application on twitter. However i can’t see where i put in the pin from twitter. The message below is all the options I have under Settings | Twitstream in bp. After I have authorised on twitter I get a pin, but where do I put this?
