It is as simple as adding any wordpress plugin.
Go through this link http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-activity-plus/installation/
The easy way (which is missing in the above link)
Also you can go to dashboard and click plugins,then add new,type buddypress activity plus and hit search.
When the plugin appears,click install now and activate it.
You are done.

Hi All!
It’s a great experience to test buddypress 1.7 beta2, while the buddypress seamlessly integrate to any given wordpress theme but is not compatible with theme templates other than default template (wordpress default template).
It would be great if one can use all the templates in the theme.
Also provide me a link where I can submit plugins which are not compatible with 1.7 beta 2.
This is to inform you that BP labs is not working with latest buddypress 1.7 beta2.
Having said that I tried BP labs for the first time as I got to know about this today only.
Paul- U r absolutely correct that Disqus require a connection to facebook, twitter and google but what I mean to say that it does not require curl setting or API key for the website owners.
Disqus works like a charm.No setting of curl or API reqd.
I am looking for a similar plugin for login purpose only (I reiterate only google login will do).
