In reply to: Buddyvents 1.2.2
I have just added filtering events by distance from the current logged-in user to the trunk. Can be viewed on the test site.

This plugin is different than Buddyvents. They work together, cause some of the group functionality (address) overlaps, but they do different things.@teebes
Haven’t actually looked into routes that much, so I’m not sure yet how I’ll implement it.I’ve just added support to filter members by distance from your own location.
http://test.shabushabu.eu/members/I’ve had to wipe the current location info, so at the moment you’ll not see much. Also, it obviously only works if the current user has set their location.
In reply to: Is a site like this possible?There’s BP Gallery by Bradesh (http://buddydev.com/), which is ready to be used on a production site, but has a price tag. And then there’s BP Album + by foxly and francescolaffi (https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-album/), which isn’t quite ready for a production site, but is free and shows a lot of promise.

That really depends on your theme. If the theme you use uses standard BP-Default theme markup (e.g. a child theme), then Buddyvents will work straight out of the box. There might be some minor CSS issues, but not more than with other plugins that use standard markup (depends on your modifications).The payment is for version 1.x only. Basically, while the plugin version stays at 1.x all updates and support are free. Once the plugin reaches 2.x the plugin will have to be purchased again at half price for existing customers. The readme file, where you can have a look at current/future features for various versions, can be found here:
http://test.shabushabu.eu/2010/10/readme-buddyvents-dev-v1-2/Yup, that’s a known problem. Rather than using actual line breaks in strings, using `n` and keeping everything on one line resolves this issue.
Something like this will work:
`Group details for the group “%s” were updated:nnTo view the group: %s`In reply to: Buddypress eventsI wrote a plugin where everybody can create events. Can also be restricted to just group admins.
Have a look here: http://test.shabushabu.eu/Notice that there is a price tag attached to the plugin.
Class names can either be passed directly into the body_class function or you can use the filter `body_class` to add/modify the class names.
Something like this will work as well:
`$group = new BP_Groups_Group( $group_id );
return $group->name;`You need to clear the list items.
Add `clear:both;` to this style. `ul.item-list li`Here’s what I use in my plugins. Well, something similar. I actually wrap it in a class and do some other things, but it should give you some ideas:
`function load_scripts()
{
// no need to go on if it’s not a plugin page
if( ! isset( $_GET ) )
return;if( $_GET == EVENT_FOLDER )
{
wp_enqueue_script( … );
}
}
add_action( ‘admin_print_scripts’, ‘load_scripts’ );`It should work, once you actually deregister jquery properly. At the moment it’s commented out, so you’re loading jquery twice, which might break things (also, not sure if init is the correct hook for that…).

I’ve added you already to the support group. The paid support is basically only for our free plugins.In reply to: Last few groupsIn reply to: Buddyvents 1.2.2In reply to: Club BeloteLove the slider
In reply to: Mapology – Adding maps for users and groupsAh, ok. The placement of the map is being handled by actions, so by removing the current action and then attaching the map to another action it is possible to move the map wherever your theme provides actions.
In reply to: Buddyvents 1.2.2@ekine
Couln’t recreate the error, Ekine. Just created an event on the test site and it worked as it should.@bowromir
Cheers, mate! Development cycle will slow down now a bit, though. I’ll spend more time now on my Jobboard plugin, to get that hopefully released within 2-3 weeks. Also, the mapping plugin will take up more time. Next major release of Buddyvents will probably be early December.In reply to: Mapology – Adding maps for users and groups@web_art
I didn’t really understand your question? The type of map can be set in the backend, if you mean that.In reply to: Largest BP community site?Shouldn’t that be 84k?
In reply to: Mapology – Adding maps for users and groupsSearching will come a bit later and yes, infowindows display xprofile data
In reply to: jquery problemThen I’d use the forum here for a BP plugin or the WP forums.
In reply to: jquery problemIt really doesn’t matter where or when jquery is loaded as long as the plugin developer is using wp_enqeue_script to load it. That’ll solve the problems you have, so I’d notify the plugin author and tell him/her about the enqeue functions.

In reply to: Users are not receiving mail on registrationIn my experience the mail actually gets sent 99.9% of the time. Sometimes it just ends up in the spam folder. Especially with Gmail accounts.
