In reply to: BuddyPress Upgrade Killed My Blog. HELP.And backup!
In reply to: Members Directory only A-ZIt means it’ll probably get added for 1.2. If you want this now you can add it in your theme.
In reply to: problem displaying single itemIt is supported, and it should work.
In reply to: BP and BBPress issues.“Provide Version Numbers & Steps
When asking a support question, please provide your WPMU & BuddyPress version numbers. Be sure to explain exactly what the problem is, and the steps you can take to reproduce the problem.”
Always keep on the latest trunk, there is no point in spending time on this if something else has already fixed it.
Please try a completely fresh install, new DB, new WPMU and new BP. We need to isolate if this is a problem with your current install, or something in a fresh stock install.
In reply to: Upgrading to 1.1-rc/1.1-betaThe trunk version of BuddyPress has fixes for subdirectory installs. I’ll probably release a second beta tomorrow. Perhaps wait until then to upgrade if you are using WordPress MU in a subdirectory, or use subversion if you know how.
In reply to: Upgrading to 1.1-rc/1.1-betaIE fixes are being worked on.
In reply to: buddybar slow at testbp.org ?Erich73: Could you possibly do the following?
Make a list of each browser, OS, computer specs and page, then whether the bar is slow or fast.
I will try to reproduce the setup and see if I can fix any issues I find. Thanks.
In reply to: Displaying Profile Fields in Blog PostsYou’ll have to echo that of course.
<?php echo xprofile_get_field_data( $field_name_or_id, $user_id ); ?>In reply to: 1.1 beta Bug while register blogPlease post bugs in trac, not here where they may be missed:

In reply to: BuddyPress Upgrade Killed My Blog. HELP.Disable all of your plugins – move them from the /plugins/ directory. Upgrade WordPress MU to the latest.
Re-add your plugins to the /plugins/ directory, do not activate them. Upgrade BuddyPress and then re-active your plugins.
Please, please backup before you upgrade. I’m not saying this for my own health. If you have a site running that can’t afford to be down, this is critical.
In reply to: working inside a class with buddyPressPlease check out the function
bp_core_new_subnav_item()That will allow you to do what you are trying to do. The function you are using is deprecated in 1.1.
In reply to: Displaying Profile Fields in Blog Posts<?php xprofile_get_field_data( $field_name_or_id, $user_id ) ?>A great plugin would be a profile badge widget, anyone care to write that using the template tags?
In reply to: Group activity displaying other group activityOk the problem is retroactive. Before recent versions, group wire posts were recording the wire_post_id as the primary ID in the activity stream, and not the group_id. This means the filter is picking up wire posts with the same ID as the new group.
There is really no way to fix this, it will not happen moving forward. Your best bet is to delete any activity that is not correct. It should be rare, and very limited – only one item in most cases.
In reply to: Upgrading to 1.1-rc/1.1-betaThe warning should not appear if you have a BuddyPress enabled theme activated.
In reply to: buddybar slow at testbp.org ?Not seeing this at all.
In reply to: Group activity displaying other group activityActually Jeff that’s not quite right. It should be activity filtered for that group only. This is a bug. Can we get this posted in trac please? Thanks.
In reply to: problem using another plugin’s class…Did you activate the plugin, and are you using it in the root blog?
Make sure /wp-content/bp-themes/ is deleted.
In reply to: Messages bug ?Autocomplete only works for friends, if you are not friends you must type their username.
In reply to: Upgrading to 1.1-rc/1.1-betaIf you are running WordPress MU outside of the root, for example: http://example.org/wordpressmu/ then you are going to experience problems with the 1.1 beta. I am fixing right now.
