Not too much of a long shot. Yes, I am using email addresses as the username. The users are created with a plugin called BuddyPress Import. I have it create usernames based on the email address.

Of course if your try the plugin in buddypress child theme other than the default will not work fine beceause the plugin use the default buddypress template !

the plugin work with all wordpress themes if the theme use legacy buddypress theme,
if it is child theme, in this case you must customize the plugin templates by modifying the…[Read more]

Snippets are always better, at least for me, less plugins better is, I don’t need this function but if I will need it I will choose this snippet, hope that @bphelp is working on hundreds new useful snippets on his site, I will visit them daily 🙂

I have ticked the “Anyone can register” membership checkbox under the general sub-menu in settings. But the sign up page i associated with the buddypress register page still defaults to the home page on click. All the other buddypress pages are ok though.

Actually, yeah. It had fixed itself for a bit but I’m getting the same thing as @bphelp. It also shows me as logged out when viewing the topic list, but it’s fine when reading topics.

Hi! I tried with the plugin indicated by @chouf1 https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/network-privacy/ but it doesn’t work properly (it let you see groups and members!) and the link provided by @bphelp doesn’t work 🙁
Is there any other plugin option?

I tried <?php echo bp_member_profile_data( 'field=Profile:' ); ?> but no dice.
Also it seems to work fine without echoing it on members/members-loop.php.

It may be that the function only works inside the members loop, but I’m not sure?
