@mercime Strange but no edit link shows up when I hover over the box in my first post. I tried both in firefox and chrome and still no link shows up when I am hovering in the box. Not sure whats going on, sorry!
@mercime To mark as resolved when I go down to the bottom of the screen to edit topic it links me to the home page of buddypress.org so how can I mark it as resolved?
I was wondering the same thing but in 1.7b1 it doesn’t exist. I would like to know how to get that back?
@mercime That is great, many thanks!
Great job @sbrajesh !
@hnla Sorry I posted in the wrong place. I’m still new to this. If you can could you move this over to How to and Trouble shooting? Thank you!
Sorry for the double post it was some kind of glitch in the system. Apologies!

In reply to: [Resolved] Dynamic profile link on members page? Not sure why the url for it keeps changing on pastebin but here you go!
http://pastebin.com/h8Czizx2In reply to: Required Profile fields don’t work@supernaturalbrews user profile extended fields doesn’t show up in the dashboard. you can however click on a member in the front end then as an admin you will see the toolbar change up near the left where it says edit member. click edit member/edit profile and then you can see what info they entered in the extended profile fields.
Ok Look for it in your mail in about 3 minutes! 🙂
@juanmaguerrero I just made a working beta version of the BP Auto Load Activity plugin. You get the main credit. It needs some minor work which is explained in the readme.txt under notes. Let me know if you want a copy to work on for improvement. Whenever you get done you can upload it to the repository because I don’t really want the responsibility of updating it. Thanks!
In reply to: Buddypress navigation and sub navigation in sidebarThis seams to still work, just tried it:

I had ShareThis social buttons in a function that hooked into bp_after_header in my bp-custom.php. The thing is even when I removed bp-custom.php from the plugins directory it still spits out those weird hashtags in my url. Is there a remedy for this?
I already tested the advice I gave you and if you click on a users friends tab that you are not friends with it displays the message “You must be friends in order to access users friends.”
I am sure there is someway to build upon that function so it only displays the friends tab if you are friends with that user.@djpaul
Thanks for your reply.
I’m using WP 3.5.1 and BP 1.6.4 and a child theme of BP default with nothing in it but a style.css
I deactivated all plugins except buddypress and it still has that weird stuff at the end of the url so what could it possibly be?You can use this tutorial http://wpmu.org/how-to-add-profile-privacy-to-buddypress/
its meant for profiles but it can be adapted for friends. Follow it exactly but instead of putting3. Edit your theme file to include the friendship check:
To restrict profile info, open up /members/single/profile.php and add this at the top of the page:add that code in 3. instead to /members/single/friends.php
You may also want to change the test in 2. step to:
You must be friends in order to access users friends. In reply to: How to create two separate menus in BP-DefaultRead the info in the below link. Pay close attention to the section: 3) Logged-out menu

https://buddypress.org/support/topic/auto-load-more-activity-stream-items-when-scroll-reaches-the-bottom-of-the-page/In reply to: naijaping.com – social network siteThat looks really cool, I would like to know how to get the header like yours with the notifications, messages, friend request, and other cool stuff just like you have it!
@modemlooper
Still not working I added an echo “This Works” to the function and it prints it to the left of the header so why is the notifications not showing up? The function is being passed and called but no notifications? I’m baffled! Please help, thanks! In reply to: Add BP Notifications To WP Custom MenuI have researched the net and still have not found a resolution. If anyone has suggestions I would appreciate your input.
