In reply to: User points
I’ll get some screenshots up this evening. And I can’t think of any reason why it wouldn’t be compatible with BP 1.0.2.
In reply to: User pointsIn reply to: Request : User Karma based on activity and ratingsIn reply to: Needing Login in the HomepageI’ve marked this thread as resolved as it seems you’ve answered your own question. Re-open if it you haven’t.
In reply to: Auto Member at a specified group ..I’m not aware of any plugins or code samples released that do this. You’ll have to use it yourself; hook into the xprofile_updated_profile action as your starting point.
In reply to: Test Buddy Press Site Activity WidgetIt is part of the trunk; problem is that is under development and unstable versions of the code. It’s not recommended to run off the trunk version so I will let you find out where the BuddyPress SVN is and how to get the trunk version if you really want it.
Good news is, BuddyPress is due for v1.1 in a couple of weeks as far as I know, so you don’t have to wait long for the next stable, official release.
In reply to: Is Buddy Press coming for WordPress? It will happen sometime after WordPress and WordPress MU merge. So, not anytime soon.
In reply to: Private xprofile fieldsSee https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/faq-how-to-code-snippets-and-solutions, “How to hide selected profile fields” and “How to show secondary profile fields while hiding the “Base” profile fields in a user profile”.
These should get you started and this has been discussed elsewhere on the forums, so do a search.
In reply to: Troubleshooting the messaging systemHmm, I think these are triggered because BuddyPress doesn’t pick up who the recipients are.
Not being funny, you are entering correct usernames in the ‘to’ field, right?
In reply to: Share This not WorkingAnd we’re still going to tell you to contact the developer of that plugin, gugaalves!
Am I reading this right? Couldn’t jorrie just disable user registration?
In reply to: This buddypress forum theme & 1 forum PER blog?I’ve renamed this thread jorrie so the title covers both questions which might make it easier for people to find in future.
In reply to: New BP Chat plugin for BuddypressHeh, two months is nothing. My achievements plugin I announced about two months ago and it’s now coming out Very Soon ™.
I am assuming the developer of this plugin either found other paying work which took a priority or has just been really busy
I have “WordPress Failure Notice” error you are getting, webatease with BP v1.0.3. I haven’t spent any time investigating it further yet tho.
Yeah, r-a-y’s spot on. I’m going to close this thread as it’s very old.
In reply to: Users Can’t Edit There Own BlogsI suggest you post this on the WPMU forums as it looks likely to be a WPMU problem and not a Buddypress problem
In reply to: template_directory in members blogs themeWhat’s in your .htaccess?
I’m marking this thread as resolved.
Reopening a month-old thread marked as “resolved” is not going to gather many new looks at the thread.
Please make a new post and refer to this one.
In reply to: Can group avatar size be changed? No way of doing this via code. It probably ought to go on Trac as an enhancement suggestion.
In the interim you can probably use CSS to “resize” the image after the page’s loaded, though, not knowing exactly what/where you want the image to appear different, I’m reluctant to suggest the CSS.
In reply to: “Author” role and “My Blogs”I’d suggest that merely having author role on a member’s blog doesn’t make that blog “yours” so it wouldn’t appear under the “My blogs” section. I agree the way you are proposing would make more sense, with “My Blogs” perhaps renamed.
I’m at work and don’t have time to look through the code but this may need to go on trac as an enhancement suggestion.
In reply to: Possible to add another friends list?In future, BP will have a more comprehensive friend relationship system so I would imagine it ought to be possible to extend it to achieve this sort of thing.
In the interim, yes, you’ll have to get it written yourself.
In reply to: member domain problemTry disabling BuddyPress, and see if you can access the hosted blogs in the standard WPMU way. I’d recommend against using WPMU outside a domain root, as it seems to cause so many problems.
In reply to: Sign in with Twitter?I’d be hesitant to recommend widespread adoption of such a plugin until someone has had chance to look at the code to see how it integrates. Likewise, like the BP FBC Plugin, it may not be updated in future.
In reply to: After connection, its only redirectingHmm.
Is waapsols.com hosted as its own domain, or does it do a redirect?
