Jeff
I am using this to work through a cool plugin idea I have, but i’m not the world’s quickest coder. I’ll let you know if I get problems.
In reply to: Problem with friend requests. You can get grab the latest trunk copy right now from the SVN. Be warned you also need the latest version of WPMU too (a specific branch); i\’d give the links here but I can\’t remember what they are at the moment

If you are asking when will the next stable release candidate be out? I’m guessing a month.
In reply to: Welcome Pack update requestVersion 1.1. should appear shortly on https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/welcome-pack/. In addition to working with the latest BuddyPress, it also lets you specify more than one person/group as the default friends/groups.
In reply to: Activity time delayJust check the time is correct to how you want it. I mean, it’s just the same as remembering to adjust the clocks forward/back every year.
In reply to: Welcome Pack update requestHello Socialpreneur
Thanks for writing. I’ve been intending to update sometime over this weekend, so not long.
Regards
DJPaul
In reply to: Groups, and adding usersCertainly, privacy (and i’d argue that also means more fine-grain control over user permissions and access) is meant to be coming post-v1.0.
It’s been a while since I fiddled with Groups but I don’t think administrator force-join is possible atm.
In reply to: PHP-ErrorYou’ve obviously deleted the wrong bit. Put it back, and try again.
In reply to: Social Bookmarking, sharing files and calendarNot yet, not yet and maybe. I think I’ve seen an event plugin in beta around these forums – that might be what you want
In reply to: Page not found with searchAre you using a custom theme?
If this occurs with the standard theme, then the error is probably because you have installed the BP themes incorrectly.
In reply to: Unknown usersLook for wpmu captcha plugins. Suggest deleting the existing users if you don’t want them.
In reply to: Can’t we upload .jpg/.gif/.png on this forum? This isn’t possible with the level of integration that buddypress has with the forum component, bbpress. Maybe in future.
In reply to: what’s the use for the actual forum ?https://buddypress.org/extend/plugins/
‘BuddyPress Groups for bbPress’. That’s a bbPress plugin, so be sure to install it in the right place. It’s made by a suspicious chap called Burtadsit, so watch out
Exactly the same place the language file is in the version 1.1.
In reply to: Profile fields ORDERING !This is in the pipeline to come in future releases of BuddyPress (after v1.0).
Correct me if I’m wrong Nicola, but Andy mentioned bp-loader in IRC shortly after the move to WP 2.7.1 branch – you were talking about the warnings that your series of plugins were triggering.
I’m 99% sure that as Andy was looking through he said bp-loader at one point but retracted that.
Since exactly WHEN have we needed to include bp-loader.php in plugins? Last I knew it was bp-core.php.
In reply to: make bp_create_excerpts work on multibyte charactersTrac is checked very often I’m sure by Andy, and other people like myself who try to confirm the bug reports or offer fixes. Obviously it’s not a discussion forum
In reply to: make bp_create_excerpts work on multibyte charactersIf you haven’t already, post this on the trac. No good putting it here.
In reply to: Recentally ActiveThe PHP code is differentiated from HTML code by use of the
<?php .....contents of file here..... ?>opening and closing tags. These tell the server that when it finds a PHP file, to scan through for these tags, and execute the code in between them.
In reply to: how to make blog section show all blog posts ?Bbrian017 – use your eyes and look in the archive that you’ve presumably downloaded from Burt & John’s link. If it has changed file name since instructions were written, I’m sure it’s not too hard to figure out what it is now.
In reply to: BuddyPress in /plugins/ not /mu-plugins/ from r1303+You can put those mods wherever you usually put them (i.e. where you had them in the previous version of buddypress is fine). Only move them as and when the instructions that come with those mods are updated.
In reply to: Uploading documents, photos? Not yet, unless there is one for WPMU.
In reply to: WPMU + mutiple domain + simlinks = Plz Help!!!Folder permissions? Folder owner?
In reply to: Change the name of the blogs folder*sigh*
Jeff, you’re a genius. I shall begin construction of a temple to worship you straight after dinner.
